Somebody made up the words. The somebody decided the words were offensive. Then the throng followed suit. Who said gold was worth so much and why? Its because somebody said so? Agreed Jeff. I think about this stuff all the time. Who decides what words are considered curse words? The majority of people do. Its a collective agreement we all partake in. We all have taken to the idea that fuck is a bad word, there for it is. It gets past on every generation when we teach our kids that its a bad word. Basically though we are forced to teach the next generation, because would you really want your child going around dropping F bombs and offending everyone? The fact that its a decision doesn't make it any less offensive to some people and the majority of people won't change. |

I voted other. My opinion hasn't changed. To me it's a name like any other. People can change their name if they wish. To say that it absolutely should or should not change is wrong, but I am not completely indifferent. If enough people are offended by it then it should be changed. It comes down to how many people are enough.

The term 'beasting' didn't even exist 10 years ago but it has now become really popular to portray someone doing really good at a particular thing. "John is beasting on the field tonight with his speed!"
