I still don't get your logic here Jeff. Let me get this straight. Everyone cheats but only the Patriots are chastised in the media? The fact they have a history and its super bowl week makes no difference. If the Patriots had lost the game to the Colts do you think it would still be a big story because its the Patriots? I doubt it. Its because its the biggest game of the year.

You cannot speak for everyone. I can certainly speak for myself (saying it would not matter what team it was). Right on time. EDIT: It's not a matter of facts - except for the FACT it wouldn't matter to me what team it was. Am I speaking for everyone or am I stating what I believe would happen if it was another team? Yes there would be still be some people up in arms, there are some people who are up in arms no matter what. It wouldn't be the same mass outrage as it is against the Pats due to the hate they get from all angles. I am generalizing instead of of saying, oh yea everyone except for (insert random group of people) would be up in arms about this. Maybe a better statement is that there would be far less outrage against most other teams. Give me a break. Belichick couldn't have been more slapped in the face by the NFL's warning prior to Spygate, and went right on ahead and did it. Funny how it's the Pats that get caught at this kind of stuff more than any other team. I guess that's just because everybody hates them.

Really, you should know your history a little better...or maybe you're just deliberately trying to minimize it. Read up on Spygate; Matt Walsh not only brought 8 walkthrough tapes of opposing teams taken from 2000 to 2002, he told Roger Goodell that he personally was at the walkthrough of the Rams before their SB, setting up video equipment. Apparently there was no tape made (or at least none was ever found), but do you seriously think the Pats didn't take advantage of his being there? Like he wasn't making mental notes of signals, as he made videos multiple times before? All this a minimum of 5 years before Mangini broke Spygate. No, I guess that's not a history of cheating...if you're wearing red, white, and blue-colored glasses.

Roger Goodell having the 8 videotapes in hand (and Walsh's testimony) doesn't sound like getting caught? I guess the Pats didn't get fined either, Spygate never happened, and all those footballs were really within the prescribed PSI range.

They are, I hate them, my favorite team plays them twice a year and gets stomped more often than not by them. I didn't say they hated them for good or bad reasons, people do hate the Patriots, because of their prior offense(spy gate), because of their arrogance, and because of their winning people hate the Pats. Am I saying they aren't guilty of the offense? No, I have clearly stated before that IF they are guilty they deserve to be fined, and take whatever penalty it states should be given for this type of offense. ALL I AM SAYING is that people care more about this than they should, cause it really isn't THAT big of a deal, because its the Pats. If it were the Chargers, or Dolphins or most of the other teams in the NFL, MOST people wouldn't make as big of a deal about it. Again not saying they are or aren't guilty. Not saying they haven't done shit before, just saying people are making too big of a deal out of this. This is like pitchers using pine tar..

Only difference is that I refer to the numerous cheating that goes on in all or most sports. Is one cheat greater than another? No. So why is this bigger than watergate itself? Makes no sense. Once again....this is all over 2 PSI. Maybe even less.
