Coin toss if you want to agree to disagree. Charles is statistically a better blocker, maybe a shade less of a runner, and as good or better receiver. I'm not even sure he's not as good as a runner, or a better receiver. nflfanforums.proboards.com/thread/3304/who-best-all-rb?page=4Chrissakes, he's not a better receiver, McCoy by a landslide, IDK why people would think that cuz he had the greatest game of his life. I have no idea about Charles being the better blocker. I have doubts about where that came from and based on what, but fine. I know fisthand McCoy is very good at that as well, I see that all the time. Shady is more complete IMO, Charles faster. Shady is just as 'shady'. But I'll concede as someone mentioned (eagledomk, that was you, right?) that he is slower - he has burst but can be caught. CJ could blow the doors off him in that dept. I'm sorry. But you mean the 'game of his life' Where he set an NFL record? As in NO ONE has ever had a 'game of their life' as good as that? That's really neither here nor there, because I think he's as good as a receiver without that game. He lines up wide about 12 snaps a game. He's the Chief's leading -receiver-. And please tell me again how 'not hard or impressive' that is because our WRs suck. It's still damn impressive.

If I remember correctly that was the knock on Shady coming out of Pitt in the draft....his top end speed. He gets to full speed very quickly but does get caught from behind quite often. I was pleasantly surprised in the Detroit game that he was able to out run guys to the endzone. He has also bulked up and become stronger every year. Charles is damn good, but imo just a shade under shady.

Yes, it's somewhat impressive, despite other teams blowing the doors off like the Broncos. But the # of catches (65?? to this point) is really nothing to write home about. Look at Sproles, Rice, I mean, this stuff is totally off the top of my head. Forte is a WR. Charles may be having a great year, and as said, troubles at offense, but...he's not amongst the elite RBs at receiving. At least not until he proves he could do it for another year.
