Interesting.. I remember Dallas having tons of fans back in the days of Mike Modano. Guess things have changed quite a bit. All teams become more popular when they win. Most of their fan base is probably left over from the 1999 Stanley Cup. Same reason why LA is doing so much better than they were. You put a winning team on the ice and your fan base expands. Not saying I mind it though.. I kind of take pride in the fact that the Preds are the only southern team to have a loyal fanbase, haha. We're having a down year but David Poile is considered one of the better GMs in the league if I'm not mistaken, so I have faith he can build our team up again fairly quickly. Pekka Rinne being injured also really hurt our season.

HOLY BALLS! I hate/love watching games where I am this invested! I am terrified and excited and losing my mind and loving it all at the same time! *takes a deep breath*

So hockey is the most popular sport up there and like 5th down here in America. But they always barely beat us. Lol.
Wanna play basketball? Won't be close.

Every country has their sports that they are the best in. USA just tries to invest enough money to be the best in all of them. Give a bit of credit to the winners instead of trying to make it always about USA. It was a great game by both teams and Canada was better today.

The key thing you said there is "But they always beat us" whether its barely or not Remember though you guys have a population of 313million people Canada has 34million. You guys have 10 times the population of Canada and put far more money into your sports than we do. So of course you are better at most of them! We can't afford to try and be great at all sports like you can so we put all of our eggs in one basket!
