This had to be taken just recently.
I obviously have nothing against the Pirates but there's no way they would be higher than the Steelers, Penn State, and the Eagles. The Pirates even have to compete with the Phillies (although I'm sure WV helped that out).
Baseball is just starting up, and after two 8-8 seasons I'm sure some of the losers started paying attention to other sports more often.
I'm surprised Ohio doesn't have the Cavs yet. Or the entire mid-west covered by the Cavs and Browns.

But yeah, the Phillies would probably also be bigger than the Pirates.

But then again, like I said the Pirate fan population in WV probably out weighs them a little although it wouldn't make a difference on this chart. I'd assume a good bit of Pittsburgh sports spread out into WV seeing as they don't have many teams and the neighboring Redskins and Ravens are icky lmao. A lot about this picture is laughable, Kentucky should be dominated by the Wildcats, and I'd argue Kansas and North Carolina would be covered by Jayhawks, and North Carolina or Duke. Of course Alabama should be dominated by the Tide. Pennsylvania probably shouldn't even have a professional team on it, and anyone who tells you the state of Ohio has more Browns fans than OSU fans, and more Tigers fans than the Michigan Wolverines is lying.

Really, Georgia is dominated by Georgia Bulldogs fans. I'm a fan of all the Georgia teams, so that's what I've noticed. There's also no way there's more Braves fans than Crimson Tide fans in Alabama. I wouldn't think that there's more Portland Trail Blazers fans in Oregon than there are Oregon Ducks fans. You would be thinking wrong. Oregon ducks are highly overhyped by the national media due to its Nike ties. Portland and the ducks are far apart...over a 150 miles. Sheesh. Oregon is the Beaver State and the Blazers are definitely the team that the State covets most.

Who the hell really believes there are more Raiders fans in Cali than 49er fans? Seriously? Raiders fans greatly outnumber niner fans.

Nationally, steelers by a landslide but in the state...doubtful.
