Oklahoma might be Thunder.. I would think Sooners but there is OK State. Cowboys got way too much love in this thing I was debating between Sooners and Thunder but I would still put the Sooners above them. Cowboys are a joke (OK State Cowboys included

California - Lakers Oklahoma - Sooners Alabama - Tide NY - Yankees No offense Nateball, but seriously - Bills over Yankees? That's impossible. lol I'd think even Mets, Rangers, Knicks would be well ahead of the Bills. Yankees have possibly the biggest general fanbase in the country for any sport.

Michigan should be the Detroit Red Wings.
I also have a really hard time believing that Kentucky is dominated by Cincinnati Reds fans. That should be the UK Wildcats.

This graph should have actually been broken down further. It should be larger to show specific parts of each state. I know with almost a clear cut certainty that a large part of upstate NY is largely Bills fans, like the Buffalo, Rochester, Ithaca, Southern Tier area, but I was surprised that it included the ENTIRE state of NY as primarily Bills fans when the Yankees play in NY.
This graph wasn't created by me, and after looking at it, I can see how largely inaccurate some of it is. Like Oklahoma, you would definitely think the Thunder would OWN that state. I think this graph is going off of ticket sales and merchandise, I could be wrong. Just thought it would be fun to spark a little controversy...lord knows we all love that here on these boards.
Was also surprised neither the Steelers or the Eagles owned Pennsylvania.
Like I said, this graph should be broken down even further to show specific areas of each state, because generalizing each state misrepresents a lot of sports fan bases.

It's going off google searches.

Yeah the more I think about it the more the Thunder should be #1.. EVERYONE who didn't previously have a favorite NBA team became a Thunder fan. And even some became Thunder fans.

It's only for Professional Sports Teams.
College teams aren't listed on the map.

It's only for Professional Sports Teams. College teams aren't listed on the map. The graph lists the Razorbacks as the most popular team in Arkansas, so there is a college team on there.

Yeah. Well then they really did mess this up, unless they're considering Arkansas a professional team...
