Top 5 Players to Watch
New York:
5 - Brandon Jacobs - You have no idea how EXCITED Giants fans are to have him back. He is not here to carry the load or anything, but he helps in two areas the Giants need DEEPLY. He is a top-notch pass protector, and with the Giants OL not playing too good last week, we need him. And the bigger reason - he lights a fire under the team, and I believe his PRESENCE will work wonders for the team. Welcome back, big guy.
4 - Victor Cruz/Hakeem Nicks - Couldn't pick just one. They both shredded Dallas last week, and I believe the DAL CBs are better than the DEN CBs without Bailey. While we need to get Wilson going, passing the ball is the priority to possibly winning the game.
3 - Prince Amukamara - After getting rocked by his own player (Ryan Mundy) last week, Giants fans everywhere were scared for their lives as if he was not ready to go, we would not have the depth and firepower to contain the plethora of DEN targets. However, he has been cleared, and after containing Dez Bryant to a mere 4 receptions and 41 yards in Dallas, he has the opportunity to do the same to Thomas this week.
2 - Jason Pierre=Paul - He was not that good last week, as Tyron Smith handled him throughout most of the game. He says he was not injured but he was not in football shape, and I believe him. Not playing all pre-season and then going out there week 1 is a lot harder than it may seem. Denver does not have a Tyron Smith on the OL, so JPP has to take advantage and force Peyton to make bad and forced throws.
1 - David Wilson - He is atop the week 2 depth chart for the Giants, and this is his big chance to show that he belongs there for the season and even later down the line as well. Wilson was a big reason why the Giants were not able to get the victory last week in Dallas, so he must turn it around in what is a must-win game.
