Thanks Dive  . I'm in Halifax right now, and just started a new job last week. Wife is now 26 weeks pregnant with our baby girl. Things are going really well right now. We'll be moving back home about a month after our baby girl is due to be born. We're having a curling night (I work part time as a bartender/instructor at a curling club) with some friends tomorrow night, but we don't have many close friends out here and I haven't said anything about it being my birthday. I don't like making a big deal about my birthday. |

Instructor? You have actual qualifications at this? Not funny, right? hehe I appreciate the post very much, I just don't care to make a big deal by throwing myself a party or something. I'm not a qualified instructor for curling by any means. There are just many groups of beginners who want to curl but don't know how, so I teach them the basics. Most of my friends haven't curled before either and they all said they'd like to try so we set up a night where I could teach them. Just so happened the only available night was on my birthday. |

We call them clubs, but it's just a place where you curl... And drink. There is always a bar in curling rinks and at my rink, for the rec leagues, we have a rule that the winners always buy the losers a round. It's great fun. |
