Funny how I am some how the one ignoring facts. This is a huge deal, should have been a big deal back then but wasn't because of the way the media handled things at the time. Peyton shouldn't have ever played a down in the NFL.

In fact if this wasn't Manning, another Broncos player, or a Steelers player (the three groups you shit on the most) you wouldn't care about this story.

This is consistently one of the dumbest arguments, Brady or any other player doesn't remotely relate to this. Peyton committed a disgusting crime, I have brought this incident up on multiple occasions in the past and am glad it is finally being taking seriously.

Then how do you feel about sports figures such as James Winston (rape), Ray Lewis (murder), Kobe Bryant (rape)? Have not heard you or anyone calling for them to be banned from the game they were/are such polarizing figures in. The only reason you are perpetuating your baseless argument is your long-standing hate for all things Peyton Manning.

Have not heard you or anyone calling for them to be banned from the game they were/are such polarizing figures in. The only reason you are perpetuating your baseless argument is your long-standing hate for all things Peyton Manning. I've heard him dog Winston and Lewis both. The biggest problem with this entire thing is that people are mentioning Manning's name alongside guys like Lewis, Winston, Bryant and Big Ben. What Manning allegedly did was stupid and immature and, if he did it then a small punishment was most definitely deserved. Maybe a game suspension or something. But speaking about this incident as if it's on par with rape or murder is just absurd. patriotsk1d Shouldn't play a down in the NFL? Are you kidding me? I've been a supporter of Brady through the whole deflategate bullshit but if he was ever proven guilty in that, it's far more deserving of punishment by the NFL than exposing yourself to a trainer when you're 19 and not even part of the NFL yet. coltsrockjcr Don't start playing the "blame the victim" game though. Every time a professional athlete (or any popular male) gets accused of rape or sexual assault, people default to trying to call the women mentally unstable and showing that the women have ulterior motives behind what they claim. Why that may be a possibility sometimes, that sort of attitude towards the victims makes it terrifying for an actual rape victim to come out and make their claim. Outing oneself as a rape victim, especially of a celebrity, is far more damaging to the victim than to the accused rapist. The slut shaming and gold digger claims need to stop.

I understand where you're coming from and agree Saska, but in this case I really feel one can quite reasonably argue that this woman has highly questionable motives and a questionable character

Only people who think this is a non story are UT or Peyton fans, you are both. Wrong. I cheer against Manning against pretty much everyone but the Jets, Patriots and Cowboys. I am not a Volunteer either, I am pretty much oblivious to them. I find this a total non story. He mooned a girl when he was 19.. big whoop! I've mooned people, I've been mooned numerous times, most people I know have been mooned. It's a harmless prank... people should get over it. Like I said he didn't just moon her. But I agree that it's absolutely redicilous that it's coming out now, for multiple reasons.

Like I said he didn't just moon her. But I agree that it's absolutely redicilous that it's coming out now, for multiple reasons. Except that there is no proof that anything more than a moon happened. Go read the article coltsrock posted. When the incident happened the women filed a complaint stating that she looked up from Mannings foot to she his ass taint and balls from behind. The only reason she looked up was cause she heard laughter. She didn't look up cause his balls touched her. In her words she looked up due to laughter. No where in her first report does she mention anything about touching just that he mooned her. Childish? Yes. Inappropriate? Absolutely. This isn't your buddies or family you are mooning, it's a professional who is doing her job and she shouldn't be exposed to stuff like this. But to act like it's anything more than a 19 year old doing something childish, without any proof to the contrary is ridiculous. He should have received some kind of punishment, a fine/suspension at the time. But people need to get over this, it's not a big deal. And even if his balls did touch her face.. again a very childish and inappropriate act, it was just a stupid prank. It wasn't a sexual advance, it wasn't rape. It was a 19 year old doing a stupid, harmless prank. Again a fine and a suspension to show how immature and stupid Manning was would have been more than enough. Not all directed towards you sf4l. More a general rant.
