Morkim and I used to play this board game called Diplomacy. I guess I don't know if he still does regularly, but it was a cool thing from my childhood. I don't own the box anymore, and I'm at college so boardgames are kind of out anyway, but I'd love to give his another shot. I've opened up a game client on www.playdiplomacy.com and the passwod is "laff" no quotes, lower case letters. Diplomacy is a complicated board game based on Risk. It's probably a time commitment too, although I really have no idea since I've never played the online version before. Much like the drafts we do on this board, it's non-continuous. There is a period of time where every player submits "orders" which are basically like moves in chess, and after an agreed upon amount of time, the orders all go through at the same time. I imagine it working like logging on for a brief window, submitting your orders, and checking in again later to see if other players have submitted theirs. I started a 3 player game here: www.playdiplomacy.com/games.php?subpage=joinable&msg=13 and again, the password is laff. The game doesn't really work with 2 people, so I set it to 3 players with the idea of Morkim, me, and one other joining. Morkim said 101mitch was interested?? Maybe? And if more people want to join, I'll add more players. It is based on World War I, so you can have many, many players controlling a large number of countries, or you can have a small number of players controlling a few counties each.

I put a full one week deadline to set orders because 101mitch and I are brand new, but once we all set the orders and hit "confirm" the turns will advance automatically. So as long as we're communicating here, it shouldn't matter.

Granted, I knew the very basic idea of what to do, but the orders only took me about a minute to do.

There's really only a handful of things to know.
You get one new army for every city you own. Not all territories are cities, you can tell the difference.
During the build Phase if you have more cities than armies, you can build new ones, but only in your original cities. So if you're England. You build them in the England cities. This matters for instance, you can't fake over my city and then build an army there. You have to have an army occupying a city at the end of the phase to take over the city.
You can move other armies out of provinces by ganging up on them. It takes exactly the amount of armies defending a province +1 to move that army out. You can have armies that are within range assist attack or defend nearby cities. Positioning is huge in this game.
Anything else, figure out some stuff. Ask me any specific questions you have.

England, Germany Austria is... Like a huge positional advantage. All of his stuff is neighboring his other stuff. Mitch should have this won already.

Positions were assigned randomly, but I like the challenge. Besides, this is his first time playing. He should get a slight handicap. edit: He's also split straight down the middle of the map, meaning he's defending on all sides. Both of our positions have a rear flank that we don't need to defend. He has to defend pretty much everywhere, so he has more troops to do it.
