Yeah it's definitely just the black people's fault. If they could just stop being such criminals then maybe cops wouldn't have to shoot them all... (Sarcasm... And if you actually agreed with what I said before I noted that it was sarcasm then you are the bigger problem) It is the black peoples fault for all the riots and looting. And if that makes me the problem in your eyes then YOU are the problem. Any one who condones the burning of buildings, hurting and killing innocent people, over this is an idiot. I thought better of you until now. This protest nation wide is just totally stupid. Not ignorant but flat out stupid. Did you read my first post on this thread? I condemned both sides for over reacting. Racism is the initial problem. The rioting is another problem. But reacting by being more racist is not the answer. I don't care what you think of me either way.

Simple proof that the riots are just bull shit. If we took Wilson and hung him in public would they stop looting? Me thinks not. It's a frigging excuse to rob. Sorry but that's the way I see it. O.J. murdered two white people and got off. Any riots? Any looting? So a white cop shot an aggressive black guy who would not walk on the sidewalk, punched him, and tried to take his gun. So lets burn down America. If the Calvary came in and shot Pocohanis, would the Native Americans burned down their own teepees? I'm sick of human behavior in this case. AND YES I blame people like Al Sharpton and the black community. They are starting to riot in MY town. WHY? What the hell do we have to do with it? It's a race war waiting to happen. And I'm sorry but its all the black people do it. I have several black friends, customers, and even doctors. I take all people as individuals. But as a race, the blacks are proving to me they are thugs. Give it up. You have every right I have. You have every freedom I have, you have every opportunity I have. IF NOT MORE. Make a better use of it. I'm becoming racist over this crap. Stop the bull shit black people. Who cares if your black? Do you care about Nicole Simpson or Ronald Goldman? NO of course you don't. I can't even watch anymore, it makes me sick. Who cares if you're black, you ask? Sadly, a lot of people do. Racism remains one of the biggest issues in the world today, and I think to say otherwise is ignorant. People are not doing this for no reason whatsoever. Sure, in an ideal world, riots wouldn't be necessary and we could handle our situations in a more civil matter. We obviously don't live in an ideal world though, and sometimes there's not a lot of (arguably zero) options to chose from other than rioting to stop wrongdoings. Riots assisted in the civil rights movement. The Boston Tea Party was a riot. The point is, sometimes riots promote change for the good, for the better. At its core, these riots are not happening just so people can destroy and vandalize property, it’s a community saying "We can’t take this anymore, we won't take it." It’s people who feel they have been wronged to the point of rage. The rioting is stemming from a much bigger issue, which is that a a young minority may or may not have been racially profiled and killed because of it. I don't condone violence, and I believe from what I've read about this whole situation, the riots have gone too far. I don't doubt looters have taken advantage of these riots to steal things, but saying these riots are "just an excuse for people to rob things" is completely erroneous and off-base. And your examples of riots not happening after OJ Simpson and Pocahontas are silly. Some of your statements are cringeworthy and uncalled for. Black people are proving themselves as thugs? Sorry, but that's a stupid statement. I'm not going to sugarcoat anything. Look up the word "generalization" on google and become familiar with the term. Don't blame a whole race on a minuscule part of said race. It's also silly to think only black people are at fault for the riots.

My piece, from what I have read and heard about this it seems pretty clear that Wilson over reacted. With that said the rioting is a MASS over reaction. This kind of shit isn't productive, white guy kills black guy so black people riot making white people more scared of black people and more likely to overreact and kill another black person. It won't end, violence just leads to more violence. I have quoted this before and I will quote it again and I hope some day that everyone believes this to be as true as I believe it to be. "Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King Jr. People need to realize that spreading hate is only gonna get more hate back. Yes there is injustice in the world but fighting injustice by causing more injustice is absolutely fucking stupid. The people who protested peacefully in the first place and had cops overreact was a step in the right direction because it shows how crazy the cops were and showing that to a world is progress. Now the people rioting are showing that they are fucking crazy and making people think "Now the cops need more power to stop this shit." The cycle needs to end somewhere, one side needs to stop. If you give someone no good reasons to hate and fear your, most will stop, and a few will hang on to ridiculous reasons making them seem like the idoits. Continue to give people reasons to hate and fear you and they will.. Nice post. I quote you here. "The cycle needs to end somewhere, one side needs to stop." I like that, but which side would you like to see stop? The rioters/looters or the cops? I don't care which side stops first it doesn't matter in my eyes, one side has to stop the cycle..

I think if the cops just went away and the media stopped covering it, it would end after all the good stuff was stolen. I think if the rioters/looters stopped the cops and media would go away. So I agree, who cares who stops first. Just stop the foolishness.

It takes two sides. This specific issue is just a boiling over of ridiculous racial tension that has been brewing for years. Racism exists and you and Beast are proof of that. Do I blame you guys for all the bad things that black people do? No. They are responsible for their actions, but it is also a fact that police are extremely bias against black people in America and many are arrested and charged (and sometimes shot) without actually committing crimes. Trying to point fingers at one side or the other is not the answer... America is to blame for this because it has allowed these tensions to build up for so long.

But you are saying I'm racist. Did you read the article I posted that is Wilson's account? Did you see the injuries to his face and back of his head? Did you notice the first shot was point blank to Browns hand. And Wilson saying he was grabbing his gun? If you read the account that the grand jury studied, you would come to the same conclusion. Brown was attacking a police officer. The police officer feared for his life. All shots at Brown were to his front. Unlike the story the media told. The one to his head was from five feet. Brown was charging him. What would you do? It is just unfortunate that Brown was black and Wilson was white. There was no racism involved. It was a life or death situation. And I don't like you calling me racist just because I want to find the facts. If I was a huge dude and punched a cop in his car and tried to take his gun, I would expect to be shot. Doesn't matter my color. And it doesn't matter Browns color to me. He was a thug who made a deadly mistake. So let the world burn because he was black. That's stupid. You probably think people who disagree with Obama are racist right?

Oh and by the way Saska you are an impossible person to debate with because you NEVER acknowledge any point made by someone else. I have some good points but you refuse to have an open mind.

Here's another issue that bugs me. Rioting almost always damages the rioters' own community. How does that make anything better for anyone?
And let's keep a sense of proportion about this. Racism exists in the US of A. But as the Reverend Gentry said, there is opportunity out there, for most people, regardless of race, creed, or color. Blaming racism for lack of success is usually more about rationalizing failure than anything else. Don't believe it? Try living in most Islamic countries. Just see how much less opportunity is available for all but a small class of men.
Surprise. It's not a perfect system. But it's a helluva lot better than in most other countries in the world.
And, believe it or not, cops (white or otherwise) aren't really out looking to blow people away. Just the investigation and the threat of lost livelihood and freedom tend towards preventing that. But it's a dangerous job, and shit happens. They tend to get a hair trigger, especially when some wannabe agitator decides he's going to show his civil disobedience by acting threateningly toward them. There are also some bad apples, and definitely racism is a factor among some of them...but having that boil over into violence is a lot rarer than a lot of these social activists want to believe. It's easy to paint people as villains, harder to understand that there are almost always shades of grey.

Also, you are only hearing from the media every time a white police officer does something questionable to a black citizen. This is not a true representation of how AS A WHOLE the police force behaves towards African Americans. This is not a racial problem like I have said before, you are being spoonfed by the media into thinking this is about race, just like all the other mindless protestors and animals that are destroying stores, looting businesses, and physically harming other people.
I bet if you were on the wrong end of what the black protestors are doing, like maybe your business was looted, then MAYBE you would think differently of the black population in the U.S.
