I have a feeling the majority of this might change by the end of the season.
The Seahawks and maybe the 49ers have the capability to catch fire at the end of the season, while the Cowboys are more than capable of reverting back to the Cowboys we know and love.

How do you have the Cowboys and Eagles finishing?
its possible all 3 are in the playoffs, or the Eagles or Cowboys will slide but not both. and that helps Detroit if they are for real so to speak

Last year 3 teams from the AFC West made it (DEN, KC, SD). So no other AFC division had more than their winner. It's hard to do, ya don't see it often. Cuz if you play the same teams twice, one wins, the other loses. Meaning those top 3 teams are beating everyone else. Don't see it happening in the NFC E, or any division, at least not this year. Just saying looks to me, right now, the Eagles and Cowboys make it. Wouldn't be shocked if the latter didn't. If the Bears cure whatever is ailing them, that could be anyone's division.

The Lions intrigue me, sitting at 5-2. I don't know what their record was this time last year, and I don't watch their games other than just game highlights, but they already look better under Caldwell than they did under Schwartz...and they're doing it WITHOUT Calvin Johnson. Matthew Stafford has always been a conundrum to me. When he's hot, he's on fire. When he's off, he's a turnover machine. Just ask the Buffalo Bills. (Here's looking at you inoccent ) Call me Gary Busey, but I seriously think the Lions have a very real shot at winning the NFC North, while the Packers will have to vie for a wild card spot. Speaking of the Packers, also 5-2, is anyone else besides me reminded of Peyton Manning and all those Colts teams from the 2000's when they think of the Packers and Rodgers? You know - a team with no defense, with the capability of winning 10+ wins each year and the capability of winning their division simply because of their all world elite QB.

The Eagles have one glaring hole that I think EagleD would agree with me on...their defense isn't all that (not to mention that LeSean is looking like a shadow of himself so far this year). And speaking of defense, I still don't know how Dallas turned it up like that...but then as was mentioned before they really don't have that tough a schedule.
The Lions are interesting, but what the hell happened to their offense? It's not just Megatron being out, because Tate has really been picking up the slack.

You could say the same thing about the Saints, sadly. We were picked as superbowl contenders by many and are sitting at 2-4 at the moment. They got rid of Sproles, Ivory the year before, so a running game apparently does not concern them, never has it seems (although Sproles is a receiver, so IMO this move was inexplicable, but not complaining), and one or two (?) other WRs. Didn't think 2-4, but when you get injuries, and a tough schedule with healthier opponents, that's what you get. Saint's schedule looks even worse next 7 weeks. Ya beat the Bucs & Vikes, don't see anything that tasty coming up. CoC, IDK what to make of the Seahawks either, healthy too, right? Rams the only div game so far. Cowboys and Eagles might both make the playoffs, Pack and Lions too maybe, so they need to turn it around soon. Well, if your team is lucky enough to have an quarterback like Brees, the offense should definitely be a bit more pass happy. I wouldn't say we're not concerned with a running game, but we're definitely more focused on passing, and rightfully so. Sproles has surprised me a bit in Philly. He was phenomenal for the Saints in 2011 and 2012, but in 2013 not as much. He wasn't bad by any stretch, but in 2013 he appeared to lose a bit of elusiveness. He wasn't making people miss the way he was in the two previous years. Like I said, he wasn't bad at all, but I -thought- last year was the beginning of the decline for Sproles. He's proven me wrong though. Great pick up for the Eagles. I wish we had traded Ingram and kept Ivory, honestly. He's amazing. That's not to say Ingram's bad, because he's improved a lot over the last year, but still. Yeah.. NO is definitely getting into the tough part of their schedule. Most of the upcoming games are at home though, so I think we can win most of them. You can make a legitimate claim the Saints are the best home team in the league. We haven't lost a home game under Sean Payton since 2010. So there's reason for confidence. (Also the fact that the NFC South really sucks this year. NO still has a fantastic shot at winning the division)

You know - a team with no defense, with the capability of winning 10+ wins each year and the capability of winning their division simply because of their all world elite QB. The Lions give me hope for two reasons this year. #1. The additude of the team seems to have changed. Years past when the Lions would shoot themselves in the foot they never could rebound. This year (the Saints game is a good example.) after Stafford threw 2 picks and the deep Stills TD catch happened, nothing seemed to be going right. Instead of freaking out and throwing the game plan away like in years past, Caldwell and Co. stuck with the game plan and kept going. A Tate long TD and Quin pick had the Lions right in it. #2 this defense is for real. When the offense wasn't going the last couple years the defense couldn't stop the other team and it was almost guaranteed to be a loss. Now when the offense isn't clicking the defense keeps the games close for a chance for the offense to win at the end. I'm excited this year. Sent from your moms bed

That defense just shutout the giants who were averageing 35 pts a game...the cowpokes gave up 21 to the giants. Also, McCoy is rolling now that his Oline is more than halfway whole and his allpro guard and arguably best center in the league should be back before week 10. Mathis is already back in practice. Oh and we get our best LB back this week who has been out since week 2. This defense looks like they are finding their identity and winning always makes a unit play their best and gel together. My biggest concern is our average wr core and our QB...who is below average one week and a feild general the next. But the oline getting healthy and giving him time will bring more consistency here. Huge game in the desert on Sunday, coming off a great dominant win and a bye, I think Philly keeps rolling.

Tyron Crawford and Rolodo McClain have been the two biggest reasons for Dallas's turn around. Sterling Moore, Orlando Scandrick, Jeremy Mincey, and Justin Durant have all played well this year additionally.

. The Lions are interesting, but what the hell happened to their offense? It's not just Megatron being out, because Tate has really been picking up the slack. Last year the Oline was one of the best in the NFL, we could run it and Stafford got sacked the second least amount of times. This year they suck. Rieff has been average, Sims took another step back, Raiola is showing his age, Warford has been solid, and RT has been a revolving door having 4 guys logging significant amount of snaps there. They aren't a cohesive group this year. Stafford has already been sacked more times in 7 games then he did all of last season. And we can't run worth shit sent from your moms bed
