Well, if your team is lucky enough to have an quarterback like Brees, the offense should definitely be a bit more pass happy. I wouldn't say we're not concerned with a running game, but we're definitely more focused on passing, and rightfully so. Sproles has surprised me a bit in Philly. He was phenomenal for the Saints in 2011 and 2012, but in 2013 not as much. He wasn't bad by any stretch, but in 2013 he appeared to lose a bit of elusiveness. He wasn't making people miss the way he was in the two previous years. Like I said, he wasn't bad at all, but I -thought- last year was the beginning of the decline for Sproles. He's proven me wrong though. Great pick up for the Eagles. I wish we had traded Ingram and kept Ivory, honestly. He's amazing. That's not to say Ingram's bad, because he's improved a lot over the last year, but still. Yeah.. NO is definitely getting into the tough part of their schedule. Most of the upcoming games are at home though, so I think we can win most of them. You can make a legitimate claim the Saints are the best home team in the league. We haven't lost a home game under Sean Payton since 2010. So there's reason for confidence. (Also the fact that the NFC South really sucks this year. NO still has a fantastic shot at winning the division) Well, my team is at least as lucky (trolls be here shortly). But it's like the pass first teams w/great QBs (Peyton, Rodgers, Brady) have suffered a wee bit from the neglect of the run game, then ran with it (pun intended) when they got lucky with a good RB. Not surprised at all that Sproles is doing well. He fell off too far last year, IDK what the reason - he was never run til his wheels fell off except for 2011 when he got the 1300+ return yds in addition. He was like #3 RB in most of my leagues that year (most are PPR and return yds to the IOP too). Ya know, I gotta blame the Saints coaching staff in part. Sproles and Ivory trades combined, when you look at what their talents are(/were) tells you that perhaps poor judgement was exercised. "Haven't lost a home game under Peyton" - Obviously doesn't include the year he was suspended, they won almost nothing. But even not counting that year, that is amazing. Falcons had something similar going, same year you guys sucked(??) - you'd know better than me. lol

The Eagles have one glaring hole that I think EagleD would agree with me on...their defense isn't all that (not to mention that LeSean is looking like a shadow of himself so far this year). And speaking of defense, I still don't know how Dallas turned it up like that...but then as was mentioned before they really don't have that tough a schedule. The Lions are interesting, but what the hell happened to their offense? It's not just Megatron being out, because Tate has really been picking up the slack. That defense just shutout the giants who were averageing 35 pts a game...the cowpokes gave up 21 to the giants. Also, McCoy is rolling now that his Oline is more than halfway whole and his allpro guard and arguably best center in the league should be back before week 10. Mathis is already back in practice. Oh and we get our best LB back this week who has been out since week 2. This defense looks like they are finding their identity and winning always makes a unit play their best and gel together. My biggest concern is our average wr core and our QB...who is below average one week and a feild general the next. But the oline getting healthy and giving him time will bring more consistency here. Huge game in the desert on Sunday, coming off a great dominant win and a bye, I think Philly keeps rolling. And yet, after that big shutout, that same defense is 23rd against the rush, 24th against the pass and in total yardage allowed, and one takeaway above the league average. About the only place they've excelled is in D/ST touchdowns, a notoriously fickle beast. I said it before, that won't get it come playoff time. They've also beaten exactly one team above .500.

You may be right..and I also agree somewhat, but...our rival cowboys have not beaten a team over .500, so im not too worried. Reference stays all you want...the Giant blowout was a huge momentum builder for our Defense.

Checked the line movements this morning. The ultimate shift (as discussed) has been with respect to Seattle (perceived losers) and Dallas (perceived winners). TopBet.eu has the Seahawks down to +900 to win the Super Bowl and has the Cowboys up to +900 to win the Super Bowl. I know the records may seem to justify these odds, but can anyone truly say that the Dallas Cowboys should have equal odds to that of the Seattle Seahawks?? Look for Seattle to make a big come back starting in Week 9 and Dallas to begin their fall from a perceived grace.

it will be either of those 2 teams but the Cards and Seattle will be at the bottom or purely not playoff eligible.

Yes, rey713 - you haven't been here in a couple weeks, but we summon thee now. Tell us why the Boys aren't a totally inexplicable fluke. Inquiring minds wanna know. What is so different? One o-line addition in the draft, 1st rounder. Worst to first, or even decent? The OL and sticking to the run game. We were able to run the ball in the past, but refusing to maintain a balance lost us many games. By running the ball, our mediocre (or worse) Defense is not on the field as much; keeping them fresh and with less chances of being scored on. Also, less overall injuries to the defense. Last year we rotated like 22+ different defensive linemen. Ridiculous.
