You think no such thing, neither does anyone with a brain. Pats didn't say 'have', he said 'got' - the GOT Amendola. As in 'gotten at the same time'. Cheaper as in '6 vs. 5.7 mil. Slot receiver, as in duh...'Amendola'. My apologies. I thought your statement was "anyone with half a brain". But it was " anyone with a brain" misremembered or misread. And the one word I pointed out was "got". You based your whole assumption on that word. I just disagreed with your assumption. Still not sure why you're getting upset about this.

Has Edelman done better than Welker? Stats-wise, yes. But Amendola was Welker's replacement (seeing as how Amendola was signed right after Welker), and Amendola has been a bust in New England. In terms of productivity? Edelman > Welker > Amendola. But Edelman is Brady's top WR target, and Welker is 4th behind The 2 Thomas' and Sanders, so I would hope Edelman has been outplaying Welker in the box score. This. Exactly what I was going to say.

No one's getting upset. That is simply what you're trying to achieve. Try replying on topic for once instead of trying to derail the real issues with grammar or the diff between a brain and half brain. That is YOUR game. Pats was clearly comparing Welker to Amendola, obvious to everyone. I'm done with this.

So you are changing your previous statements? You have agreed with me on several occasions that Edelman had already replaced Welker during the 2012 season, considering he had started the first 3 games and would have started more had he not gotten hurt. Glad you are coming up with excuses to help out the Broncos fans though, I expect nothing less from you.

Your way off on this one though, Edelman was Welker's replacement as evident with the starts over Welker while Welker was still on the Patriots. Amendola was another offensive weapon added during the offseason.

I'm over my rant now. My awesome aunt passed away right after the game and facebook is full of loving posts and pictures from all my cousins. I'm very sad but happy she is no longer in pain. Sure put things in perspective for me today. RIP auntie Eileen. Sorry about your aunt. You know I'm here if you ever wanna talk. Been having some perspective revelations of my own lately.

I think he meant edelman. Compare edelman / Welker the last two seasons. Nah, he meant Danny. The Pats didn't "get" edelman. They've had him for years. Comparing him to Welker would insane. Not that that stopped the Ammendola comparison of course. Why would this be insane? Are you aware that Edelman started the first 3 games of the 2012 season( while Welker was still on the team). He would have continued to start games but he got hurt. Welker likely would have been dealt or released if Edelman had stayed healthy until the trade deadline. The only ones who were shocked by Welker not being offered a new contract was outsiders. I misspoke when I said "got".

I disagreed with your initial assessment that he was comparing Welker to Dola. I did say you were caught up on what could be a grammatical error. But you're the one who asked me about the one word I referenced. There's no need to discuss the difference between not having a brain or half a brain. It's the same condescending point either way. But to say the way you see it is the only real way is insulting, because at least Jancey agreed with me. Edit: oh look, surprise, the pat fan was talking about the reciever who replaced Welker in their offense.

plax"no one really knew who would take the "Welker role". People assumed Dola because it happened almost right after Welker going to Denver. But Dola can play all over the field, so it would make sense that Edelman would fill Welker's shoes because they play a similar style."
"I do not think it is wrong to assume that Dola OR Edelman was going to be the replacement to Welker. Obviously if you sign Dola almost immediately after Welker, people will think he is the replacement. But I must state that Branch was gone too, and Dola could have been a replacement for Branch. People drafted Dola high was because they knew he would be a big part of the offense - not replacing Welker, specifically. That is the case for Edelman, who has a similar game to Welker, which directly shows the possible idea of having Edelman taking over the Welker role."
"They have a similar game, Welker and Edelman do. That is why Edelman did not see the field much - because Welker had the role on lockdown and Edelman never had a chance to shine."
"It amazes me how you only continue to bring up FF as a catalyst. Amendola was drafted high because he got a lot of money and was guaranteed to be a big part of the offense. No one ever said he was replacing Welker."
"More snaps = higher on depth chart. If you play more, you are most likely higher on the depth chart (and at least having Edelman taking more snaps than Welker forshadowed the future at their slot position."
So you really believe that Amendola was the replacement?
