Whats he suppose to do lower his helmet? Or remove his head? Lead with your shoulder, your head shouldn't really connect on a tackle. its actually bad form tackling, you are A) More likley to miss a tackle leading with the crown of your helmet as you will have more trouble getting your arms around the player. B) More likely to injure a player as a helmet is a device to protect you not deal damage with. There is no give to a helmet and you are likely to break bones with it if hitting a bad spot. and C) you are likely to injure your own head and or neck leading with your helmet. Helmets only do so much to protect and you are damn likely to jamb your neck or concuss yourself hitting like this. tackle with your shoulder not your head. simple.

I was watching the Thursday night game, seeing all the personal fouls called against Pittsburgh's secondary, and I couldn't help thinking that none of them would have even been an issue if Flacco hadn't kept leading his receivers directly into defensive backs. At what point do you start holding the QB responsible for setting up defensive backs with ball placement on receivers routes? Flacco was getting his own receivers knocked out. It wasn't a matter of Pittsburgh's secondary "headhunting."
Also, Mr. Head & Shoulders - Troy Polamolu is sportin' some grey in those locks.
