JindredSounds like you should rename the thread from 'Riders' to 'Roughriders'... Maybe even throw in a Saskatchewan for good measure. Shh it might get us some through traffic, if people think it says Raiders

I read it that way too. Then I thought someone put it in 'CFL' by accident. lol They could use a new stadium - 1966. Isn't it the only NFL stadium that still hosts baseball? Hmmmm, don't see it happening. Looks lovely, Jin. Current stadium layout just looks weird. Do the seats go that high on the opposite (foreground) side? But seriously, sardines? Population of > 250,000? Is it like what the Packers are to Green Bay? Yea the Roughriders here are very similar to the Packers. We are a community owned team, we are green, the fans are nuts, we sell out pretty much every home game as well as causing ticket sales to go up wherever we play, its in a smaller city and it gets really effin cold here We are the Packers of the CFL.. Even if the Eskimos look more like them:P And yea sardines.. Most of the seating in the stadium is benches so you are always hoping to sit next to kids and skinny people so you actually have room to move Its pretty horrible getting stuck between a couple large people because there is no real definition for where their seats end and ours begin lol.

Been to Cubs bleacher seats, which were unlabeled. The only bleacher type I been to as labeled seats were Northwestern (Univ) vs. the Wisconsin Badgers (been to 3, 1 guy in our group was a U of W alum). And yeah, it was comfy enough for bony asses. We were all reasonably sized, and still almost shoulder to shoulder - but that's college, guess asses are generally a little smaller then. Sell out, wow, impressive. How many teams in that CFL anyway? According to Wiki, 8 teams?!? No wonder. I guess. lol

How many teams in that CFL anyway? According to Wiki, 8 teams?!? No wonder. I guess. lol 9 now! Expansion team this year... the Ottawa Redblacks. CFL is the worst league in the world for team names... BC Lions is Ok. Calgary Stampeders is Ok. Edmonton Eskimos is lame. Winnipeg Blue Bombers is lame. Ottawa Redblacks is outright stupid. Toronto Argonauts is not bad. Montreal Allouettes is very french. Hamilton Tiger-Cats is redundant and kind of lame. Saskatchewan Roughriders is the best name ever (I may be a slight bit biased on that one...) Most of the names have a history. Like Hamilton was formed from two Rugby clubs over 100 years ago, the Tigers and the Wild Cats, so I get their name. Ottawa keeps getting a team then failing. They used to also be the Rough Riders (but notice the space... stupidest name ever ) but after they folded and then tried to come back last time, no one would allow two teams of the same name in a 9 team league, so they were the Renegades. They folded again and are now the Redblacks. PS. I have also been to a Cubs game in the bleacher seats. I was told left field was the best place to sit because the fans were crazy there. They did not disappoint. The guys I sat beside (I went all alone) were googling Delmon Young's life history and then yelling at him for things he did as a child.

You know what the Riders don't have?
A WR named Dressler.

That is where I usually sat, the left field (looking at the field) bleachers. Hmmm, guess that's actually right field. lol Still fun. From home plate, we were on the right. Don't recall Desmond Young. Then again, most of my baseball outings were Komisky park (White Sox) when the Yankees were in town. Don't recall when they allowed the American League to play the National. What were you doing there? Great neighborhood. I lived about a mile south of Wrigley.
