PS. I have also been to a Cubs game in the bleacher seats. I was told left field was the best place to sit because the fans were crazy there. They did not disappoint. The guys I sat beside (I went all alone) were googling Delmon Young's life history and then yelling at him for things he did as a child. You gotta be kidding me!!! That is where I usually sat, the left field (looking at the field) bleachers. Hmmm, guess that's actually right field. lol Still fun. From home plate, we were on the right. Don't recall Desmond Young. Then again, most of my baseball outings were Komisky park (White Sox) when the Yankees were in town. Don't recall when they allowed the American League to play the National. What were you doing there? Great neighborhood. I lived about a mile south of Wrigley. I had won an international design competition back when I worked for an office furniture company (not as big of a deal as it might sound... It was for a specific 3D design program that not many places used yet) and the prize was a free trip to Chicago for an international office furniture conference. The conference was terribly boring, but the people from the company that invited me there were very fun, and then I figured I had to try and check out a ball game while I was there. I didn't know anyone before I got there so I just bought a solo ticket. It was Delmon Young and he was on the Tigers at the time. I loved the field and the area. It was such a cool, residential feel, with little shops and bars surrounding the stadium. Of all the ball parks I've been to that's been my favorite (meaning it beat out the old King Dome in Seattle and The Metrodome in Minneapolis).

Sounds like one of those things that does not sound glamorous, but you know it's the opportunity of a lifetime. You'll see what you see, and Chicago has tons. I certainly haven't been everywhere, but can probably say there is nowhere like Wrigley. Yeah, surrounded (and directly) by low rise housing. NOWHERE to park unlessa private person rents their driveway - plenty of public transportation though. My friend had a place across the street from the 1st base side. BBQ party on the rooftop for the whole 6 flat and friends. Super cheap - just BYOB. Seats were almost same distance as the bleachers.

Jindred, is your brother a laborer or is he a Super/Project Manager? Can I bid on the doors and door hardware?? He's a Project Manager for them. But so far he has worked more on small projects. I don't know how involved he will be with the actual stadium build. If he is a PM then I would still like to bid the job. I have the insurance, a major product distributor behind me and I am a certified locksmith so I think I am qualified to do the install...... If I only help supply then I am OK with that, god forbid I save them some money..... Just saying....... My distributor is up north as well (58 locatoins in the US).........
