The more I read up on this guy, the more I am astounded on how he fell out of the 1st Round and to us in the 2nd. The only reason I can see is if not for the injury and his weight gain last season, he would have been our 1st Round Pick easily. This kid is going to be darn special. One of the biggest performances you can find of him that shows his potential is against Alabama in the 2012-2013 BSC National Championship Game. Here is the game in its entirety on Youtube:
Yes, I know that Notre Dame got routed by the Run Game and it made that Defense look bad, but watch Tuitt. Alabama ran pretty much exclusively AWAY from him. He dictated how and which way they ran. Later on in the video, they show a graphic on the distribution of Alabama's running game. 13 carries for 66 yards to the left, 16 carries for 166 yards up the middle, and 4 carries for 4 yards to the right (can you guess which side Tuitt was on?). That is exactly what you want out of a 5-Tech Defensive End. He also isn't a slouch when it comes to Pass Rushing, having 21.5 sacks throughout his career at Notre Dame. If he can get a bit more athletic, he will be downright scary.
Go ahead and call me a homer, but this guy is getting me VERY excited.

He fits better in a 3-4 than a 4-3, so he has that going for him. I can see him being a quality player for many years.

I agree. I still maintain Tuitt is the best and most complete DE in the class. (besides Clowney, of course)

Maybe not AS bad, since I was extremely high on DeCastro before we Drafted him, but it is starting to get there. I can see him having a Muhammad Wilkerson-like impact on a Defense.

I can see him having a Muhammad Wilkerson-like impact on a Defense. I was always high on Tuitt. Drafted him at 30 for the Chiefs after trading down from 23 on another Mock. Ppl said I reached. i guess maybe kinda on the real draft. but he was first round talent. The first round just wasn't the place for big 3-4 DEs this year. All the Beef was on the O-line in the first round.
