Maybe not AS bad, since I was extremely high on DeCastro before we Drafted him, but it is starting to get there. I can see him having a Muhammad Wilkerson-like impact on a Defense. I was always high on Tuitt. Drafted him at 30 for the Chiefs after trading down from 23 on another Mock. Ppl said I reached. i guess maybe kinda on the real draft. but he was first round talent. The first round just wasn't the place for big 3-4 DEs this year. All the Beef was on the O-line in the first round. OL and Wide Receivers. Next year though looks HUGE for Defensive Ends.

He'll be better at his spot than DeCastro, that's for sure. I'll just assume you are doing that to get on my nerves since DeCastro is going to be an All Pro next season I said it because your DeCastro love is lulz. Although like I said, I've always been -very- high on Tuitt. You guys got a steel. (See what I did there, Word play.)

Randy Gregory, Shilique Calhoun, Dante Fowler, Mario Edwards, and Noah Spence all look like DEs that could go first round next year. I wouldn't even be surprised to see Sheldon Day (ND's DLineman that played beside Nix and Tuitt) to start generating hype of his own.

Leonard Williams out of USC looks like he will have a good season as well.

I agree. I still maintain Tuitt is the best and most complete DE in the class. (besides Clowney, of course) ... who now play outside linebacker! Khalil Mack might have been the first DE drafed, but it's possible that not a single DE was selected in round one: Jadeveon Clowney: Plays a base 3-4 OLB (I still say he'll get reps at 3-4 DE) Khalil Mack: Plays a base 4-3 OLB and took reps at DE Anthony Barr: Most likely a weakside 4-3 OLB Aaron Donald: Definitely a 3-tech DT inside Dee Ford: Not big enough for 5 tech 3-4 DE, so he'll sit on the bench outside his rookie year. Marcus Smith: Apears to be Trent Cole's backup at 3-4 OLB Dominique Easley: 4-3 DT in New England's base package So, no one in the entire first round is primarily a defensive end. That's crazy. The first true defensive end drafted was Demarcus Lawrence, with pick 2.02 to Dallas. o.0

I won't be watching that game again. That game is when my love for Nix started slipping. He was dominated in tht game which made Tuitt and Te'o look bad. Not a good night for this Irish football fan....
I have been saying this whole time Tuitt will be a good player and I'm thrilled to get him in the middle of the 2nd. Thought he would go late 1st for sure.

He will be an OLB or a 4-3 DE, the guy is only 6'2" 252. I don't think Clowney will play much 5 tech either, his frame is way to slight and lacks the necessary sand in his pants to anchor and have the strength to stack and shed linemen constantly. And if he does build the necessary weight it will subtract from his athleticism that made him the 1st overall pick. Might he line up on occasion as a 5-tech? Maybe, but it will likely be as an interior gap shooter just to create some pressure from the middle and he might not line up there that often. Clowney is best suited on the edge. Big difference in body frame if you ask me.
