Who said it wasnt something to be concerned about Plax?
Does that mean it has to be a circus and a media hanging?
Does that mean now that Snoop Dogg can say anything he wants?
Does that mean that Al Sharpton can go spew his crap anywhere he wants yet, could care less about blacks dying from the hands of other blacks?
Does that mean we all should start fighting about it?
This is what the media and society wants. They never want the race issue to go away because it divides people.
This is my last statement about this.

Sterling was the one who brought up this whole mess. The exposure helped defeat the problem at hand.

Its a big deal Plax obviously. Listening to sports talk thou, a guy from sports illistrated had a good point. They knew all about Sterling before this. Didn't stop the African Americans from taking his money. Why didn't anyone do anything before it started costing sponsorships? He also said lots of owners would not want their private conversations taped and aired in public.
I'm glad they banned him due to his past. But the tape was really not as bad as I thought. He said at one point that when she posted on instagram he would get calls about what his girlfriend is doing. I never heard the n word or really anything mean aggresive. He even said Magic Johnson should be admired. Nothing he said was as racist as this.

I see a trend where younger people and minorities want to put him in front of firing squad and shoot him. LOL.
If you listen to the tape, I've heard a lot worse. A lot worse.

You have to remember plax he grew up in a totally different time. You didn't have to sell or rent to minorities and if you did your property value went down. That's just the way it was. Heck women could not even vote until he was in his twenties. The world changed, for the better, all around him. He just didn't adapt very well. That generation is on the way out. Lots of older people have adapted just fine. But lots did not. It was a totally different world back then. My mom is his age and she has always fought for minorities and women's rights. Its that generation and my generation that changed things. We and they gave your generation a far better understanding of human rights and dignity for all.

I believe the reason this is being made into such a big deal is to set a precedence. You make it a huge deal you show that it is absolutely not acceptable to act like Sterling has, you take away his team and you fine the shit out of him and you show that the NBA nor the sports world will tolerate any kind of racist shit like this. I agree with craig440 that the stuff on tape isn't the worst racist garbage ever spewed, but you know that if he is saying crap like that he says worse. He isn't the type of person you want be an ambassador or face of an NBA franchise as it shines a bad light on the whole organization. The NBA has made the right move by distancing themselves from him because this is the type of thing that no longer has a place in our world. The media makes a big deal out of everything so you can damn well expect them to make a big deal out of this. The NBA needs to make a big deal out of this to show its unacceptable. As for all of us making a big deal about it.. I see it as progression towards a world where racism isn't tolerated as it shouldn't be because its fucking stupid to hate someone for their skin color..

To all who believe the media has the agenda to get him kicked out or that they are targeting, I suggest you hold the shift key and press number four on your keyboard. That's the reason this story is #1 in the news cycle right now. It's also terrible, and I'm glad Sterling is gone for many reasons, but we wouldn't be talking about the same frenzy if this were happening in January or March.
As to anyone who claims the media won't let racial discussion die, I say this. It will only die when there's nothing to cover. The haters (sterling) are the reason we have to keep talking about race. It's not the media's fault if they're doing their job, talking about the biggest sports story possible.

Let me tell you what happened to me last week. I have a customer who's dad needed help with his pool. He lives in the darkest part of San Diego. I went there. I had to park on the street. There were ten to fifteen people sitting on the wall and on the side walk. I had to walk right through them. They were smoking pot and crack (I think crack). The smell from the drugs was almost over powering. The homeowner I was there to see said "they are out there every day"
As I came back to my truck they were selling or buying drugs right there to cars that would pull up. They were looking through all the stuff in my truck. They called me names and harassed me about being white in their neighborhood. I never went back.
I mailed the dude his money back. They were probably in their late teens and early twenties. So the problem still exists in the younger generation. And its not just from white people. Do I need to post Snoop Doggs public statement again? Snoop is an influence to these young black people and for you all to ignore it and shoot the white guy is,,,,, Well you're part of the problem.
disclaimer... This was not aimed at anyone on here. Just the media totally ignoring things like Snoop and totally grilling an eighty year old who was raised that way.

Snoop Dogg's message was negative, but I honestly don't consider it as racist as what Sterling said. Snoop Dogg's message was directed at one specific person, and he included a racial slur directed at Sterling, who had already shown a hateful attitude towards black people. I don't approve of the attitude that Snoop Dogg took, but he wasn't claiming a large generalization of white people. What Sterling did was basically state that there is something wrong with black people; that non-black people should not associate with black people in public.
Snoop Dogg's message is one of anger and immaturity. Sterling's message is one of a deep seeded belief that black people aren't equal people. Which is more harmful to society as a whole?

Sterlings recording was directed to one person. His girlfriend. Did you listen to it? He said nothing of the sort. Snoop attacked him and his mom and everyone associated with him. And he did it in sixteen seconds. His mom if she is alive must be over one hundred years old. I can't believe the liberties you give him. There should be just as big an out cry to ban his crap. Total BS in that one Saska.
