OK well Craig here's my problem that annoys me. Why do white liberals always have to be so aggressive when it's a racial topic concerning blacks? If anything, an opinion, in the slightest degree is said in a negative light of blacks with racial undertones, or even if it's a true generalization, they jump on you like a pack of wolves. It bothers me that they are white, yet they are the loudest, most confrontational people despite the fact that they're not even the race being "discriminated" against.
You know what? Liberals just bother me. A lot.
They always chime in whenever it's something racial, religious, or regarding the ecosystem -- but they aren't as loud about other things, like economical, judicial, and just common everyday problems that are more important in today's society. No. Their priorities are mixed up. What about the people that live in poverty every day across the world?
One guy's stupid opinion is just that -- stupid. I don't care what his retarded opinion is about skin color... He had black people on his team. Ok. I would have a different opinion on this if he knowingly recorded this or voiced his opinion in a public stance. But no, he quietly said his opinion to his girlfriend in a secluded area and was unaware that it would go public. See. I'm not Republican or Democratic. I don't limit myself to one viewpoint of opinions. I'm looking at this logically.
A) It's an old man that was raised in a certain fashion that obviously impacts his viewpoint.
B) It's an oral opinion that was voiced in a secluded area
Do I like this bigot? Fuck no. I dislike him because he seems like a closed-minded person. But then again, do I really know this guy personally? Can I judge him for stating his opinion on something he was likely influenced by because of his childhood, age, and religious beliefs? He might be a really cool guy, but just doesn't like black people for whatever reason.
Have you ever had a friend that was really cool, intelligent, fun to be around, and very open-minded but at the same time called a black person every once in a while, (not to their face) a nigger? What, are they the worst person on the Earth now and deserve to be ostracized for their opinion? WTF, it's their opinion. If you don't like it, you don't need to go around campaigning, (especially as a white person), and treat them like the worst person on Earth for eternity. They said one word, a statement. If you can't handle a WORD, then YOU are even MORE closed-minded than the person who said the racist statement. (and yeah, calling a person a nigger is racist). This is dicey and I don't mean this in all circumstances, however.
Words are words, but circumstances do matter, and that is where I am willing to concede and agree with people on whether a person deserves to be bashed like the way people too often are now a days. This is a separation I've noticed is why it's old vs young on racial debates. The old were raised the with saying "Sticks and Stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." That phrase in my opinion, is true more often than not. People overreact to words in today's society. Shit, people react more strongly to words than they do actions now a days!
And I'm not posting this post to get it rebutted. I'm just venting to you, Craig. And it's not about this stupid old fart who I could care less about. It's about how screwed up society is IMO. We got our priorities mixed up.
