Coincidence that only Steeler fans are taking Tomlins side? I think not. If it were any other coach, CoC, 4life, and devil would agree. Plain and simple. Fining Tomlin will not scare other HEAD coaches(which other coaches are sure to have more integrity)into not repeating that classless Busch league act...but taking a draft pick will set the precedent.
The Steelers are not special...they are not impervious to being looked down upon. Deal with it.

Which is one of the bigger reasons why I'd defend him because if he did this intentionally it would be completely out of character. And I don't really care if it was a different coach, if it were Harbaugh or Belichick I'd want them to be punished because I don't like their teams and I'd admit that. Say if it were John Fox, Mike McCarthy, or Andy Reid I'd expect a light punishment, but the same with Tomlin it would seem totally out of character which makes it easier to assume it was not intentional.

I don't think for one second that Tomlin is a classless person....the act that he committed was classless. I have never seen Tomlin act unbecoming of a HC or even be arrogant. I am totally surprised by what he did. But that shit he pulled lacked integrity and class expected from a HC. I don't give two shits what team he coaches for as I've stated before. What if he did 'accidententally' make contact with Jones? And to say that Allen would have caught him anyway is laughable....The tapes show he had to move and shift to avoid Tomlin. Which slowed him down.

This is a little off topic I know but doesn't deserve a new thread. Did any of you see the interception yesterday and a pass interference was called. And then the flag picked up because of the interference was behind the INT? Even the announcer said he doesn't understand. I have seen the Chargers get flagged for interference on the total opposite side of the field from the play. (yes I'm talking to you Jammer). Sometimes I don't understand the rules. Did you say something? lol

Heres what I think should be done. The officials should all be fined. They don't enforce the rule that you cant be in the white area. It is the officials fault and was bound to happen. Enforce the rules from day one and this would not happen. You give a head coach an inch and they will push it to as far as you let them. And that goes for ALL the head coaches.

Give 'em my 10 yd rule, and burn 'em at the stake. Really, as I said, it would never happen again. We sat Sproles, I know he is about to explode. You can probably identify with this...looking at a race hose before the race. Eh, that never works for me.

Which slowed him down. I didn't notice Jones slowing down hardly at all, if he even did. Most athletic players do not decrease in acceleration with just one step inside. And like I've said before Allen is faster than Jones as well. If the refs would have just thrown the flag like they were suppose to I doubt this becomes a problem at all, the Ravens would have been rewarded a TD.
