Sal Alosi was a conditioning coach. Mike Tomlin is a head coach. Steelers deserve to lose a draft pick, and Tomlin deserves a 6 figure fine. Who gives a shit? Alosi could have seriously injured that player and is still part of the team. Tomlin barely had any interference with the play, it's not like Jones was trapped into running on the sideline. There is a significant difference between a conditioning coach doing something and a head coach doing something. A head coach needs to be held to a much higher standard.

Divebitch He's not crying foul when it was called, it wasn't called. They're crying foul about the potential loss of a draft pick, which is ridiculously harsh. I know it was not called right then. Or else he wouldn't have been grinning like that. I meant 'in general'. Losing any draft pick is harsh, although IDK what pick was mentioned, do you? Would fully agree that no TD was imminent. But if it cost the Ravens even a single yd, which is quite possible, the Steelers should have to pay. Like I said above, fine Tomlin and tell the rest of the league that personnel in the white line during the play will result in on field penalties. That fixes everything. I'm not a fan of frivolous fines. Certainly an infraction from across the field or 30 yds away would be ridiculous. So a fine yes, can just think of ways, as you also suggest, to fix it better.

This is a little off topic I know but doesn't deserve a new thread. Did any of you see the interception yesterday and a pass interference was called. And then the flag picked up because of the interference was behind the INT?
Even the announcer said he doesn't understand. I have seen the Chargers get flagged for interference on the total opposite side of the field from the play. (yes I'm talking to you Jammer). Sometimes I don't understand the rules.

And the conditioning coach performance a much worst act in attempt to injure a player. So that should offset a good bit.

As for intent The guy in the gray sweatshirt stepped out in front of Tomlin before he inched out closer to the sideline impeding his view to the jumbotron.

Those guys are barley even making 6 figures. The Jets shouldve lost a draft pick as well.

But taking away draft picks (in Tomlin's case) is extreme. A 1 game suspension should be the maximum, IF they can prove intent. As I see it right now, Tomlin has never had any problems in the past. Not even a slight slip up and I'd say he deserve some benefit of the doubt. If this was a longer tenured coach like Belichick or Reid I'm sure they'd get off light as well.

I am not talking about a high draft pick, I am talking about them losing a 7th round pick or a future 7th round pick. 100,000 dollar fine and a loss of a 7th rounder is what I would like to see happen.

Man we need them 7th round picks! lol
