it would be cool if we could assign people to do pregame threads for certain teams... that way everyone knows what is going on around the league... if someone wants to do a thread for one day, then they can do it. im just gonna be doing threads for mainly national television games and games ill be getting to see on TV i wont be looking to do every single game thats for sure. if you want to do all the giant threads go ahead. ill just do threads that i think need someone the thrusday is what i plan to do next. we dont have a packers fan on here, so i can do that too. dont know if craig wants to do the chargers preview though

The Cards would be dumb to play Fitzgerald the whole game he will play a series or two. regardless, patrick will have to go up against him this game likely

a good start for the saints yesterday, as there were a couple of players who caught my eye this game
QB chase daniel. 15-20 for 203yrds and a TD and INT. plus 17yrds on the ground. while i still want to see more before i call him a good backup, he made a good case as to why he should be the backup for brees
RB travis cadet. 8 catches for 80yrds and a TD. didnt do much on the ground at all, but he played great as a receiver. could he be converted to WR to make the roster?
WR andy tanner. 4 catches for 75yrds. hes fighting for a roster spot too, and he did a good job this game
LB martez wilson. 2 tackles and 1.5 sacks. was a good prospect in last years draft and played good in this game. could emerge this season

I've been scanning Saints forums recently, and a lot of them have been saying all off-season that Martez Wilson will lead the team in sacks this year. I think I might agree

I think I might agree generally LB's in the 4-3 dont tend to lead the team in sacks im gonna say cameron jordon. the guy is gonna be a very good pash rusher in this league

I think that would be a great move. He's got freak athleticism.

I wasn't impressed by Daniel. He threw several passes behind his receivers. Defenders were off the pace and he got away with it. He ran with the ball twice when he should either have attempted to force it in or throw it away. He also showed that his arm strength isn't great. His surrounding cast enhanced his numbers. He'll be a cheap adequate fill-in if Brees wants to come out of a game early, but I don't think he's more than that. It's early in preseason though.
