saskabronco Jindred So, I showed my mom the John Oliver Trump (or, I'm sorry, Drumpf) video, and she ended up voting for Ben Carson in the primaries today. Maybe the video actually got through to her? Of course, it's not like Carson is even a remotely qualified candidate either, but at least it's not Trump. John Oliver for the win. And I have no idea how people could believe Hilary is as equally as bad as Trump. She is like... Objectively a better person than Trump. She flip flops on everything and basically personifies the whole "politician controlled by big business" thing, but that's unequivocally better than the prejudiced, bigoted, arrogant sack of shit that is Donald Drumpf. I guess Carson is a move in the right direction lol. Hazzah for John Oliver!

Jesus Christ saskabronco I'm not that fucking stupid. I know very well the difference between communism and socialism. That was an exaggeration and a joke, if you've never heard one before. And how can you of all people even claim to understand what is wrong with the United States? You live in Canada, a democratically socialist society, which is not what the United States is today, although we are heading in that direction, and we have been for around 40 years. And I like how you didn't even acknowledge the fact that Hillary is a criminal and should be in jail for treason and jeopardizing national security, not to mention her extended history of lying, her mismanagement of Benghazi, and her lying to the families of the Benghazi victims. Her policies are highly similar to those of Obama, and we do not need 4-8 more years of that. It is laughable that you consider her qualified. She has done nothing worthwhile in a lifetime of "public service." And now onto our good friend Bernie. He has good intentions and is a good man overall, but his plans can not and will not work in the United States. They are economically crippling, and will only push the US further into debt. A centralized federal government can not effectively manage health care, education, and infrastructure, nor is it their job. Big government does not work. What makes you think that a government that has been mostly ineffective in its limited duties for 20 years can manage even more responsibility and not fuck something else up? Health care could stand some limited government intervention. Education has always and should always reside in the hands of local and state governments. If you don't like how it's being managed, elect someone else. A federal government which sets an easily manipulated and ineffective one-size-fits-all curriculum for millions upon millions of children, regardless of background, geographic location, and economic standing is wrong and only hurtful to future generations. The federal government cannot legislate people out of poverty (it literally has never worked and it never will) nor does it owe anyone a college education. They cannot and should not intercede into business to require paid leave or tamper with wages (minimum wage is obviously needed). And you are correct in saying Bernie's rebellion against the establishment is much more genuine than Trump's, and I admire him for that, but once again his actual policy cannot possibly be effective. Not to mention a Sanders administration could get almost nothing through Congress, so we would be stuck in the mud for 4 years. On another note, did you even watch the Republican debates? It sounds to me like you've read headlines and bought into the BS the media spews out. Yes there is bickering, and Trump causes 75% of it. The other 25% of it can be attributed to the god-awful management of the debates in the moderators' asking purposely inciting questions and rarely touching on in-depth policy. It is shameful. If you ignore that, there is genuine policy coming from each candidate if you listen to what they say and do research to delve deeper into their plans. And yes, Trump is very obviously a shitty human being who is borderline fascist, and he is a terrible candidate. But he is still better than Clinton or Sanders IMO. Like Jancey, I might lean towards writing in someone or not voting at all if Trump is the candidate. He's terrible. Honestly, this entire field of candidates on both sides is absolutely horrendous. Clearly you are that stupid. You're hung up calling Hilary a criminal based on a bunch of nothing bullshit that has never amounted to anything unless you watch Fox News. Bengazhi... Emails.. Blah blah... We've heard it all and there is nothing to it. You say her policies are similar to that of Obama's? Then you should vote for her now because that man has been saving the mess that was your country for the last 7 years. You show your ignorance constantly by all the absurd Fox News standard lines you spew. Your biggest complaint against Bernie is that he couldn't accomplish anything because of congress? First of all, that's a two year problem, not a four year problem, and hopefully America isn't so stupid that they vote in another congress who claims loud and proud that their goal is to prevent the government from accomplishing anything at all. That's not Bernie's fault, it's the GOP who has decided that they would rather see the country fall apart than to let Obama pass anything of value. By your logic no one should vote Dem because the lazy, piece of shit GOP majority in congress wouldn't let them do anything anyways. So instead, vote for one of the lazy pieces of shit who are actively preventing the current president from helping his country. You are so partisan is disgusting. You'd rather vote for a guy who's "very obviously a shitty human being who is borderline fascist, and he is a terrible candidate" rather than a guy who means well but can't get everything done that he'd like to, or someone who you claim is a criminal but actually have no evidence to back it up. You are so full of shit.

This country is already bankrupt, and our economy can't be saved. Not without DRASTIC changes. But the only measures that can be taken to fix it won't be taken. Truth is, doesn't matter who gets in office as far as our economy goes; we're screwed. Holy crap. Whoops. I meant to quote you, not edit your post. Is there an undo button? I was wondering when I said those things... lol. Just read coltsrock' summary, it's pretty bang on.

You are so full of shit. No evidence? 2,000 emails regarding the most classified of classified information on an insecure server? Heard about that? But I guess it would be too much of an inconvenience for our poor Secretary of State to use her government-assigned, secure email. The ambassador to Libya knew tensions were high and that an attack was coming. He asked Clinton for help, and she left them out to dry. Now 4 innocent American lives are no longer with us. It has been revealed over and over again that she know what was happening, and she pulled critical security. To the faces of the families effected by Benghazi, she then said that the attack was incited by a video, when all indications are that is was a planned attack and she knew it. Later in her testimony regarding the Americans she said, "What difference does it make?" But she clearly would make a great commander in chief. Get your head out of your ass, she couldn't do her job of protecting American lives and interests abroad, so what makes you think she could run the country? You are clearly too partisan to look at facts and too ignorant to look beyond your own twisted view of the world. And no, Congress will remain a GOP majority in the foreseeable future considering recent voter turnout along with the disastrous Obama administration, PC culture, and threats abroad and at home. And you think Obama has done good for this country? He has added more to the US debt than all presidents before him combined. He has divided and divided people based on race, socioeconomic background, and political affiliation. The economy is close to another recession. Workforce participation rate is the lowest it has been since the 70s. Obamacare is an unconstitutional disaster to small business, it is ineffective and costing us billions. Common Core is a power-grab by the federal government and its nature in presenting mathematics and history is putting the younger generation at an extreme disadvantage to their peers on the worldwide stage. Our enemies don't fear us, ISIS is the most powerful terrorist organization in world history under his watch. Our allies don't trust us. He's mobilizing an extremist Iran regime which has and will continue to fund terrorism with the intent of destroying Western thought and waging a holy war on all non-Muslims. He has left the only democracy in the entire Middle East out to dry. And that is just the beginning of it. The reason the GOP congress has blocked him is most people would rather have nothing done than bad legislation created. The Dems would be doing the same thing if the tables were turned. But this hasn't stopped Obama, he has repeatedly violated the Constitution by working around congress through his executive actions. The role of the president is to unite, and Obama has made no efforts in his presidency to reconcile any political, social, or racial tensions. And when it comes down to it, a president's character means much less than the results which he creates. We have had plenty of presidents with questionable character who turned out to be decent politicians. Bernie will get nothing done, and what he will get done will be disastrous for Americans, their jobs, and their security. "Good intentions" don't mean jack shit if the person's intentions include ineffective management. Karl Marx had good intentions, and Marxism/Communism have been more disastrous for economies, workers, jobs, etc than any modern governmental form in history. And I love how the left is always the first to jump to name-calling, it really is petty, and it makes you look pretty bad.

The problem with everything you're saying about her is that it's all speculation from the people who want to destroy her name. There have been tireless investigations into those instances by the right but no solid evidence has ever come out. Keep spewing your crap but until a legal investigation actually finds her guilty of all that, your claims hold noting of value. And yes, Obama has done plenty of good for the county. After inheriting the largest deficit the nation has ever seen, he has consistently chipped away at it to make it smaller and more manageable. I'm not sure if you understand how that works, but if you have so much debt that you are paying insane amounts of interest on it, your debt will continue to increase. But before you can stop increasing your debt, you have to chip away at the deficit. Once the deficit is gone, then you can start reducing the debt. He's moving in a positive direction by reducing the deficit, but he was left with a disaster from the previous administration. Funny sentiment you have: "No you're the one who's so partisan it's disgusting... Typical leftie always resorts to name calling." I'm not saying you're an idiot because your a right winger. I know many intelligent conservatives, you are just not one of them. You prove how petty and partisan you are with comments like that. Obviously I am a left leaning individual, but I do my best to be critical of both sides whenever I can. Right now, the current GOP race is a complete circus full of buffoons. The idiots (Trump, Cruz, Carson, Rubio, Huckabee, Christie, Fiorina) made such a parody of the process that the people who actually could have been taken seriously (Paul, Kasich, maybe even Bush) were forced to either play along or fall off. I don't agree with many of the right wing policies but I'm not so partisan that I won't admit there are good potential leaders over there. You constantly show that you think despite a guy like Trump being An absolutely horrible person and equally horrible option for president, he's still better than anyone on the left, because at least he's not a leftie.

To back up my claim that Obama is doing good and combatting the national deficit, read this article: www.politifact.com/wisconsin/statements/2014/sep/05/barack-obama/obama-says-he-has-cut-national-deficit-half/The article shows that Obama has followed through with his promise of lowering the national deficit by half since he has taken office. Since the housing market crash and the great recession from 2007-2009, Obama has helped move America towards a positive direction. What the people criticizing him for the massive debt are really doing is like criticizing a football manager for not winning a Superbowl the year after taking over an 0-16 team with all undrafted rookies, no draft picks and limited cap space for signing free agents. Before you can expect a Superbowl, or even a winning season, or even a win, you have to give the coach time to work the budget, sign some skilled players and develop chemistry. And in Obama's case, the last 5 years of success have been done in the face of what is akin to the rest of the front office doing everything they can to sabatoge any positive action he attempts to make. If you think Obama hasn't done good for your country you either don't understand how the budget works or you are so blinded by your partisan bullshit that you refuse to see facts when they smack you in the face.

He has benefitted off of the economy partially recovering from 2008 and alongside it, the stimulus package has been dried up. The decrease in deficit is only temporary. The government spending is increasing seen in Obamacare, Medicare, Medicaid, etc. The article explains it pretty well. The deficit was so high in 2009 on account of the government's stimulative spending in response to the recession, which was almost entirely the fault of the banks who were lending money they didn't have to people who could not repay the loans.

You are just denying facts One of these emails detailed how Stevens, the ambassador in Libya felt unsafe and wanted to leave for months, yet Hillary went on to pull security measures. www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/john-bolton-chris-stevens-email-hillary/2016/03/01/id/716847/I never said that Bernie or Hillary are bad candidates because they are on the left. Bernie and Hillary are bad candidates because of their own faults. For example, I thought Jim Webb and Martin O'Malley were decent candidates. Not great, but they were reasonable. You are characterizing me in a ridiculous way by putting words in my mouth. And on Obama, if you think that he is one of the best presidents the US has ever had, you have no knowledge of US history. He is at the top of the bottom quarter at best. You have pointed out one partial accomplishment of his 7 years in office as opposed to a mountain of mistakes and examples of poor management and leadership.

[ahref="http://dailysignal.com/2015/10/22/obama-celebrates-a-drop-in-the-budget-deficit-as-the-national-debt-balloons/"]http://dailysignal.com/2015/10/22/obama-celebrates-a-drop-in-the-budget-deficit-as-the-national-debt-balloons/ [/a] I understand perfectly how it works, and yes the deficit has decreased under Obama, which can be considered an accomplishment, but the doing is only partially his. [/quote]Government spending does not automatically mean losing money. Spending in the right ways, to create jobs and stimulate the economy, can have a positive impact. When people have jobs and money and health insurance they are far more likely to purchase things and pay more taxes, which brings in more money. And you can argue that the deficit is only shrinking now because the government stimulus is slowing, but the fact that the deficit was so extreme for the first several years makes it impressive that he didn't let it get worse. It's not just the shrinking deficit that shows his success. Under him the unemployment rate is lower than its been in a long time. He also managed to find a way to get health insurance to a lot of people who never had access to it before. Sure the ACA is still a very flawed system, but that was the best compromise he could get given the opposition he faced. The ideal goal is universal, single payer health care where the insurance companies don't make billions off of every transaction, but that's too much socialism for most Americans. It's not truly 'Murican unless some corporation is stealing an insane amount of the profits. I could go on with more positive impacts by Obama, but there is no point because you've already heard all this before and don't care what good he's done. He's a leftie, he's black and his name sounds Muslim, so nothing good he ever does for your country can ever be acknowledged by you and yours. As for Hilary. Yes she used her personal email. That was not right. But you talk about her like she's a treasonist monster who's trying to tear down the country from the inside. When I say have no evidence, I mean you have no evidence of her committing all of these crazy illegal acts within her emails. I've said before she's a slimy politician and I don't really like her, but if there was evidence of her being the criminal mastermind you make her out to be, then it would be reported by someone other than Fox News and Rush Limbaugh, and she would be facing actual criminal charges. Maybe there is some massive cover up to protect her from harm, and you provide real evidence of any of that, I'd be happy to agree with you. I read your article and Chris Stevens claimed that he was contemplating pulling out of the area. I didn't see anywhere that he had requested to leave. That sounds like a fabricated story based on partial truths. The situation there was tense and Stevens contemplated leaving, but didn't fully commit to doing so because it would poorly impact US-Libya relations for an ambassador to pull out of a country.
