The OL played well. By far best effort of the year. Hopefully the 2 'inferior' tackles playing so well will light a fire under Adams and Gilbert and they will play better if they find themselves starting again, ever... The redzone O must be better. The loss of burress may be looming large. He may have been a big part of what we were gonna do in the redzone. Moye may be good for another jumpball TD but he is a rookie so can't rely on it. He drops another TD he may not be around long. Such is the life of an unseated rookie. We need to be able to run down there an set up PA passes to Heath. Defense finally looked good stopping the run. That needs to continue. Still need more sacks and TOs though. Need to sign a new punter... I think Moye stays for now unless they think Justin Brown can be better off the practice squad. I think they just need him to get him more involved. Outside of Miller and Bell, I think the rest of the offensive players are pretty outmatched inside of the redzone. I'd really like to see Bell receiving more passes in the near future though.

Just saying that if he drops another he won't have as long a leash as sweed because he was undrafted.

David DeCastro is turning into the All Pro RG we expected him to be when we set the record for the fastest card turn-in for the NFL Draft in 2012. He is dominating in the Run and has the 2nd Highest PFF grade among RGs and 5th among all OGs so far. I know I am probably taking from comments on BTSC here, but I cannot help but agree with them. Another thing that caught my eye was that Le'Veon Bell had 19 carries for 93 yards, and his longest run was 11 yards. He wore down that Ravens D with chunks of 4-6 yards each time he ran.

Can't wait for sunday. The series between Oak and Pitt are always great games, win or lose, and I look for more of the same. Sad thing is this appears to be whom ever has the most OL problems will most likely lose. Raiders and Steelers are both in the same boat about salvaging the season right now, though Pittsburg can get the division with 9-7... Oakland's only hope as it stands is at the 2nd wildcard seed.

I normally root for the Stealers to do good cause my uncle is a huge fan of theirs, just not against Oakland hahaha. Every year we watch the games and talk trash that they play, too bad he works this year.
Good news for Raiders (bad for Stealers) both Wiznewski and Porter are back at practice this week. This limits the impact of Garude being out as Wiz is our normal starter. Pashos is still out, as is Veldheer. It also looks like Watson will be out again too... Geez way to many injuries on our line.

As a PSU fan of course I liked Wiz coming out of college, figured he'd be a good starter. And what porter is that? Is that Sean Porter? How is he doing so far? Bell Playing helped a lot, I haven't seen a Steeler back with his patience and vision in a while. Wiz will likely have to deal with a heavier dose of McLendon and Heyward, Heyward who has been playing very well lately.

Nah I kind of jumped around there, it's Tracey Porter, so our DB's will be playing back at full. Wiznewski has been great considering. He's had trouble run blocking, but that's not a fair assessment because he's only played in Knapp's poor ZBS scheme. He's been hurt most of this year.
Yeah Bell has been a major part of the turn around. Ben is a great QB but he needs the RB's to help out, when Pitt has both going well, that's when they make their deep playoff runs. When they have no answer, they tend to slide.
