But I do agree with liking the bigger Qbs like Boyd, Bridgewater, and Mariota for passing reasons.

Pretty much, Tebow is passing challenged, and Manziel is a character concern, also I don't see a little guy like him lasting long in a system where the QB runs a lot. Manziel is not a character concern....Ben's had more problems. Hes a spoiled rich kid with amazing ability. And his size doesn't scare me. Hes 6'1" like Drew Brees but more muscular, and remember who he plays against, SEC defenders who are almost all NFL caliber. Its obvious you are unhappy with the new breed of Qbs but the NFL follows college molds and College is playing more and more athletic Qbs Not gong to lie, you're right I don't like it. I prefer the Peyton Manning's and Aaron Rodgers of the game more than the Robert Griffin's and the Colin Kaepernick's. Although I think both could do well if they passed more than running the ball, especially RG3. Now I'm not saying avoid it all together, if the play breaks down and there is open field be my guest but it's the designed run plays that I don't like. And you're right Ben had more character concerns in the early part of his career, and I don't want to see that again. I just think Manziel is a punk and wouldn't necessarily translate into a good leader in the NFL.

Manziel is a rock...don't know if you watch him play, the kid runs people over. I do not think that would be the case in the NFL. I would just prefer him not being a Steeler, if he succeeds somewhere else then awesome. It's just kind of one of those deals like I have with R Sherman, I think he could be an awesome player and yes I got a laugh out of him calling Brady out. Would I necessarily want him to be a Steeler? I don't know, he better damn well back up that talk.

But I do agree with liking the bigger Qbs like Boyd, Bridgewater, and Mariota for passing reasons. I haven't seen any of these guys play, or any college football outside of Penn State ball. I probably won't until the end of the season. I just know I'd prefer a guy that isn't running all the time. It's nice having the ability, but I'd prefer the QB to pass until it's necessary to run.

Big game Sunday. Win and the ravens have the same number of losses as we do. Keep playing like we did against the jets and get some help along the way, it's not impossible.

The good news is Beachum did a fair job against a very dominate Muhammad Wilkerson. The guy is smart and plays with good technique, if only he was 3 inches taller, longer arms, and a bit stronger and we'd have our LT of the future. Oh, he should still make for a great back up in the future and possibly a future starter at LG. The Steelers and Ravens seem pretty evenly matched except for the fact that the Ravens have been getting to the QB more often, and I'm not positive but I'm sure they have more turnovers as well. That's two areas the Steelers have to defend against and gain more of if they want to win.

Welp things are starting to look up a bit for the Steelers. David Decastro has continued his great play and has helped solidify the interior of the OL. Guy Whimper, or what Tomlin would refer to him as "Abdullah the Butcher" (infinitely cooler name than Guy Whimper, lets make it stick) graded out better than any of our OTs all year and the guy didn't even start the game! Beachum Continued his solid play from last week. The OL isn't perfect but, it sure didn't allow a very tough Raven's front to affect the game.
William Gay also graded out very well, and has had relatively solid play through out the season so far, I guess there's a reason why he took the CB2 spot. He did get beat for a potential easy TD, but Flacco under threw the ball and Gay had some good hustle to break away the pass, basically making the play you have to make. Timmons also had a solid game, and I believe had a career high for tackle in a game, the man playing beside him for most of the game Polamalu also was every where and continued his excellent play.
Ben had a mistake free game and he likely would have looked even better if Moye hadn't dropped a catch he should have made and arguably easier catch than the one he made earlier in the game, but I won't doubt that he will get more opportunities. I love love love that they were able to run the ball with all three backs. The fact that Haley trusted Bell to take multiple wild cat plays shows a lot for the young rookie and hopefully a heavy work load next week.
Miller had a relatively poor game outside of the shovel pass TD he received mostly due to the costly fumble he had, it's a rare occurrence but more often than not when Miller fumbles things go down hill fast thankfully this time wasn't the case and he will likely bounce back. Once again, Worilds has completely failed to stand out when given the perfect opportunity especially against a poor LT the Ravens just traded for. Looks like drafting Jones was the right decision, who he himself needs to start making plays if we have any hope of competing for the lead in the AFCN.

Apparently, Lawrence Timmons broke his hand against the Ravens in the late 3rd-early 4th Quarter and he STILL finished the game with a career high in tackles. He is also expected to play Sunday against the Raiders.

The OL played well. By far best effort of the year. Hopefully the 2 'inferior' tackles playing so well will light a fire under Adams and Gilbert and they will play better if they find themselves starting again, ever...
The redzone O must be better. The loss of burress may be looming large. He may have been a big part of what we were gonna do in the redzone. Moye may be good for another jumpball TD but he is a rookie so can't rely on it. He drops another TD he may not be around long. Such is the life of an unseated rookie. We need to be able to run down there an set up PA passes to Heath.
Defense finally looked good stopping the run. That needs to continue. Still need more sacks and TOs though.
Need to sign a new punter...

He is also expected to play Sunday against the Raiders. With how many LBs that has played with clubs on their hands. I think Timmons not playing would be unacceptable. Hope he continues his good play, he's been one of the more solid players defensively.
