btw beast, i wanted to give you 2 reasons WHY you will NOT sweep us this week. both are FACTS
1.only 2 teams swept the reds all year. indians and brewers 2.NOBODY has swept the reds at great american ball park this year. NOBODY.
great american ball park is one of the smallest ballparks there is. its not a pitcher friendly park. but the fact our pitching has played well there for most of the year says something

1. cleveand is 4th in their own division and on a 9 game losing streak. Brewers are also 4th in their division. If either of those teams can sweep the reds, then the Cards can too. I don't think you know how clutch the Cards are. They really turn up the heat later in the season and start whooping ass.
2. the smaller the park the better, that means more home runs, kind of like yesterday!

im gonna compared the schedules really quick on all 3 teams still in the fight in the central, not including the series for each team this week
reds: @d-backs-could be a challenge because its away and they are still in the fight @astros-easy phillies-tough on the road, but they suck this year and its at home astros-easy pirates-still alive but fading. will be a challenge @marlins-easy @cubs-easy dodgers-tough task, but its at home brewers-we beat them at home, so easy @pirates-on the road so tough task @cardinals-this could determine the division right here
cardinals: @pirates-division team so will be a challenge @nationals-they are the team to beat in baseball right, so good luck on that mets-fading and at home brewers-easy @padres-on the road, but easy @dodgers-very tough task especially on the road astros-easy @cubs-easy @astros-easy nationals-gonna be at home, but they are still the team to beat in baseball reds-blood bath game
pirates:(playing the brewers this week) cardinals-tough challenge, but at home @brewers-easy astros-easy cubs-easy @reds-challenge and on the road @cubs-easy brewers-easy @astros-easy @mets-fading fast reds-at home but still a tough task braves-underated team right now that wont choke like last year
so right now the pirates have the easiest road

reds best record in baseball once again. and they still dont even have votto back yet. things are really looking good for this team. i expect nothing less than a world series now which i honestly think will happen right now

Just when you think the Pirates are out....they come right back in. September is going to be a HUGE month. 2 series against the Reds left this season. That could be pivotal and between now and the 2nd series on Sept 28th, anything can happen.

i would much rather see the pirates in the playoffs than the cardinals, so thats just me
of course id rather see both the pirates and cardinals not make the playoffs, but thats likely not to happen
reds are so high up on the division, i think most people will now believe we win the division
nationals and braves plus the giants and dodgers are still fighting for there division. as well as the cardinals and pirates looking for the wildcard and division still
so the race for the playoffs in the NL just got weaker. only 7 teams are still alive. i would say stick a fork in the d-backs now

I gave up on the Brewers a couple months ago. Now they're sitting 2.5 back of the wildcard. Not expecting much, but dam they put together an impressive winning streak

its hard to believe that the brewers are back in this thing. you would think after trading away grienke they were done. i guess thats why you play the game all the way till the end then. the reds final schedule just got a hell of lot harder now because of it (with the exception for the cubs tonight and tomorrow) reds WILL win the division now though. they are up 11 games in the NL Central so congrats on my cincy reds on becoming the 2012 NL Central Division champs but getting momentum in the playoffs or just trying to get the #1 seed will be tough dodgers and brewers still to go at home. then pirates and cardinals on the road. ugh thats not good nationals final schedule is alot more favorable now with the dodgers still this week, then the brewers, phillies, cardinals, and phillies again. reds need a miracle if they want to snag that #1 seed rather not have to face the giants first or then have to face the nats on the road early.
