Things I want to see:
Stop Maurice Jones-Drew. If the defense can stop him, the Colts win. If you manage to stop Jones-Drew, what's left? Blaine Gabbert and a banged pass blocking offensive line. But, to be honest, I'm not too optimist that they'll stop Jones-Drew. A good run stopping starts in the trenches, but Will Rackley and Uche Nwaneri owned Fili Moala and Antonio Johnson last season, the only bright spot in there is Cory Redding and Drake Nevis when he plays
Vontae Davis not being burned by Justin Blackmon. This will be one of the easiest matchups for Davis on the year. Davis has allowed a 90% competion percentage over two games. The other side is safe with a much improved Jerraud Powers covering Laurent Robinson.
A good pass and run blocking. If the offensive line can do their part, Andrew Luck and Donald Brown will have a good day. The only thing that holds this offense back is the offensive line.
No conservative play-calling if the Colts are leading in the fourth quarter if the running game isn't working. That almost killed the Colts win last week, that game should have been 6-20 instead of 20-23 if the play-calling was smarter
Top 5 Colts Players to watch:
5.Donald Brown: The offensive line will dictate how Donald Brown's rushing performance be. The Jaguars have an average line, so the offensive line might perform better, opening lanes for Brown
4.Donnie Avery: I thought Luck would have a decrease in production with the loss of Austin Collie, but Avery is playing much like him.
3.Jerry Hughes: Hughes is facing a weak Jaguars' offensive line, it'll be interesting to see how he does after he didn't get time to play when he was drafted
2.Robert Mathis: Bets active pass rusher on the team, Mathis might put a lot of pressure on Gabbert and in that weak offensive line to force him to make mistakes
1.Andrew Luck: Luck had a good game last week, he has another opportunity to perform well against the Jaguars since they don't have much bright spots in the defense
Prediction:
The Colts face another below average defense, since the Jaguars lost Jack Del Rio, their defense aren't with that impact anymore, so this could be an easy game for the Colts. About the defense, Gabbert could be from below average to average, while Jones-Drew might get short of 100 yards, depending on his number of carries though
