He will probably put that to injuries to Rose, but no doubt Rose is the better player easily.

As of right now, yes! Rose MAY go down as the biggest "what could have been" in NBA history. Always sad to see a player of his obvious skills be unable to stay healthy. Among Bulls point guards Hinrich is 2nd in assists, 2nd in points, 2nd in rebounds, 1st in steals, and 1st in blocks. Rose is about 2 full seasons of catching Hinrich. Unfortunately for him though that is about 6 more injury plagued seasons.

IDK much about b-ball, but lived in Chicago for all the Bulls great years. Mid 80's thru late 90's I was there. So you forgot Dennis Rodman - on rebounds alone, and for all his antics, a very instinctual player. Maybe Toni Kukoc, IDK. Luc Longley? No? lol

I'm a very big Bulls fan, so I'll just leave this here
PG: Derrick Rose, Kirk Hinrich, Norm Van Lier SG: Michael Jordan, Jerry Sloan SF: Scottie Pippen, Chet Walker PF: Dennis Rodman, Bob Love, Horace Grant C: Joakim Noah, Artis Gilmore
I'd rather have that "biggest what-if in NBA history" as my starting PG than Captain Kirk, because that what-if guy is better than Kirk ever was, even right now. Yes we had Michael, Scottie and two three-peats, but there is nobody in NBA history who is as athletic as Derrick Rose (the closest thing we have to him is Russell Westbrook in OKC).

So you forgot Dennis Rodman - on rebounds alone, and for all his antics, a very instinctual player. Maybe Toni Kukoc, IDK. Luc Longley? No? lol Rodman was a great rebounder no question about it. Thing is that is all he would/could do. At power forward you have Horace Grant, Bob Love, & Bob Boozer. Lets take a look at the comparison.
Horace Grant: 6866 points, 4721 rebounds, 1316 assists, 587 steals, 579 blocks Bob Love: 12623 points, 3998 rebounds, 991 assists, 554 steals (est), 132 blocks (est) Bob Boozer: 4807 points, 2049 rebounds, 367 assists, ? steals, ? blocks Dennis Rodman: 1037 points, 3036 rebounds, 560 assists, 115 steals, 64 blocks
It's worth noting that Rodman and Boozer both spent 3 seasons with the Bulls. Rodman averaged 5.2 PPG, 15.3 RPG while Boozer averaged 20.4 PPG, 8.7 RPG. Maybe it's just me but I'd rather have 15.2 points over 6.6 rebounds.
Toni Kukoc was a good player (not great) was basically Pippen's backup. Started less than half of his games with the Bulls. In order to make this team he'd have to be better than Chet Walker. So let us compare
Chet Walker: 9788 points, 2898 rebounds, 1097 assists, 351 steals (est), 30 blocks (est) Toni Kukoc: 6148 points, 2088 rebounds, 1840 assists, 476 steals, 173 blocks
Kukoc was a better passer but Walker was the better scorer. All and all I give a fair edge to Walker.
Luc Longley makes the team but only after Clifford Ray, Dave Corzine, Tyson Chandler, Bill Cartwright, & Brad Miller!

Yes we had Michael, Scottie and two three-peats, but there is nobody in NBA history who is as athletic as Derrick Rose (the closest thing we have to him is Russell Westbrook in OKC). You can put Rose on the team, it doesn't make that much of a difference. Hinrich will still be the starting PG when Rose reinjures himself. Only difference is an injured Derrick Rose sitting on the bench taking up a roster spot when you could have a very good replacement player. I'd rather have a player like Grant, Love, or Boozer who could score AND rebound over Rodman who could ONLY rebound. You might be a big Bulls fan but if you start Noah over Artis Gilmore you don't know squat about Bulls history. Let me enlighten you.
Artis Gilmore: 482 games, 9288 points, 5342 rebounds, 1186 assists, 266 steals, 1029 blocks Joakim Noah: 489 games, 4826 points, 4610 rebounds, 1340 assists, 422 steals, 721 blocks
Artis Gilmore: 19.3 PPG, 11.1 RPG, 2.5 APG, 0.6 SPG, 2.1 BPG Joakim Noah: 9.9 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 2.7 APG, 0.9 SPG, 1.5 BPG
I rest my case!
