Its early for the nfl draft, but with college football starting this week, its time to start taking a peak for what positions and players im scouting for this team
(I will update this weekly)
Team Needs: RB, DE, OLB, S
PROJECTED BENGALS DRAFT PICKS (9-6-12)
1.Jackson Jeffcoat DE Texas
2a.Montee Ball RB Wisconsin
2b.Chase Thomas OLB Stanford
3.John Boyett FS Oregon
4.Justin Pugh OT Syracuse
5.Demontre Hurst CB Oklahoma
6a.Johnathan Bostic ILB Florida
6b.Tyrone Goard WR Eastern Kentucky
1.RB: Law firm is the starter right now who was a free agent from the patriots but hes not an all down back. Benard scott is a free agent next year, as well is brian leonard who are only backups at best. cedric peerman is only a special teams guy and not meant to get much time on this team. RB is the biggest concern on this team right now and is the #1 priority going into next season
Prospects to watch for:
1.Marcus Lattimore, South Carolina (top 20)
2.Montee Ball, Wisconsin (2nd)
3.Knile Davis, Arkansas (2nd)
4.Le'Veon Bell Michigan State (2nd) PLUS
5.Eddie Lacy, Alabama (3rd)
6.Andre Ellington Clemson (3rd) PLUS
7.Christian Michael, Texas A&M (3rd)
2.DE: carlos dunlap and michael johnson are the starters right now, but dunlap has to stay healthy and johnson is a free agent. backup robert geathers is also a free agent, and free agent addition from the colts last year jamal anderson is a former bust and is a backup at best. pass rush was good last year, but not because of these guys
Prospects to watch for:
1.Sam Montgomery, LSU (top 10)
2.Bjoern Werner Florida State (top 10) PLUS
3.Jackson Jeffcoat, Texas (1) NEGATIVE
4.Corey Lemonier, Auburn (1) PLUS
5.Alex Okafor, Texas (2nd) NEGATIVE
6.William Gholston, Michigan State (2nd) NEGATIVE
7.Michael Buchanan, Illinois (2nd)
8.James Gayle, Virginia Tech (2nd)
9.Margus Hunt, SMU (2nd)
10.John Simon, Ohio State (3rd)
11.Datone Jones, UCLA (3rd) PLUS
12.Dion Jordon, Oregon (3rd) PLUS
13.Devin Taylor, South Carolina (4th) NEGATIVE
3.OLB: starters manny lawson and thomas howard have done a good job on this team, but both are free agents after this year. even backup dan stuka is a free agent too. vincent rey and dontay moch are not starters to take there place either. this position could be in for an upgrade if mike brown chooses to be cheap like always
Prospects to watch for:
1.Barkevious Mingo, LSU (top 5)
2.Jarvis Jones, Georgia (top 10)
3.Sean Porter, Texas A&M (1st)
4.C.J Mosley, Alabama (2nd) PLUS
5.Chase Thomas, Stanford (2nd) PLUS
7.Gerald Hodges, Penn State (3rd) NEGATIVE
8.Johanthan Brown, Illinois (3rd) PLUS
9.Brandon Jenkins, Florida (4th) NEGATIVE
4.S: reggie nelson had a contract extension so he should be fine. taylor mays on the other side though might not be the guy though who seems to still be reckless. his backup jeromy miles is a special teamer at best, and not really a starter. george lloka drafted in te 5th round recently who had a 2nd round grade could be in the mix, but who knows. this position could use some help
Prospects to watch for:
1.Eric Reed, LSU (top 15)
2.T.J Mcdonald, USC (1st)
3.Kenny Vaccaro, Texas (2nd)
4.Tony Jefferson, Oklahoma (3rd) PLUS
5.Robert Lester, Alabama (3rd)

7.Shawn Williams, Georgia (3rd) PLUS
