I don't know about the rest of you, but I think he is being suspended due to formality really. He might be found guilty, but in all honesty, it was an outdated rule that he broke and one that is basically based off of greed on part by the NCAA (at least in my opinion). Other people have been caught and punished for it, but in Gurley's case, I don't see why players like him cannot make money off of their own image when the schools and the NCAA do it all the time and all they get is an education that (in players like Gurley's case) will probably never use due to the money they would make in the NFL. Even a practice squad player makes $6,300 per week which equates to $102K per year which is double the average household income in the US of around $51K. The big names that the NCAA makes money off of will all pretty much enter the NFL at some point.
Gurley's Draft stock shouldn't be affected for those very reasons. Sure, some owners might be slightly hesitant, but I think he will still go in the 1st Round and maybe in the Top 10 based on his talent level (which is greater than Trent Richardson's was at this point).

Unless there is anything else that comes out, I believe he is still a top 10 pick, with an outside shot at top 3. But it's basically put him on draft stock probation. If he gets another strike his stock will fall.

I am trying to mock up a new draft tonight. We'll see if I have the time though.
