Good receivers are not rare. Desean is a good receiver, not worth what he was getting paid though, and if he was a locker room problem than I have no problem with the cut. And Divebitch know one has confirmed that 10, 4 or 5 teams were interested in him. The Redskins were the only team that scheduled a visit. The media makes false claims based off their speculation all the time, nothing different in this situation. So you think Charles Woodson and Matt Schaub were openly wooing and they didn't hope for a visit? That's not media. Bills, Browns, a couple others, they don't advertise it! I might agree that he wasn't worth what they were paying him. I don't even think he's a top 10 "#1" straight WR, although he did more on special teams. But feel he was more valuable to the Eagles than anyone else. There in lies the problem. You think Djax was more valuable than shady, Peters, Cox, or even Foles at this point. I'd drop Djax before any of those four.

I would not even consider Djax a "#1 WR". He has a talent and Kelly maximized it. The one thing PHI will miss is the attention Jackson garners (luckily the Giants have DRC now, as Jason Avant called him DJax's kryponite).
Djax was not the most valuable guy in PHI. He was a good piece that helped open a lot of things up. One thing to watch is Riley Cooper, though. I think Djax had a bigger impact on Riley succeeding than many would believe to think was the case.

If KC had wanted him they could have made a move. Byrd to NO proves you don't have to have space if you want them bad enough. Didn't say KC wanted him, although it looked to be academic cuz they couldn't afford him. lol so players now represent if their team is interested? The Redskins were the only team interested enough to schedule a visit, I could care less if players want a guy because that certainly doesnt represent what their team thinks. Not their job, but in my experience, they do not represent if their team is not interested. Case in point, Reggie Bush, I knew he was a Lion before he ever got on the plane. They do not represent anything when it comes to a teams level of interest.

When was the last time you saw that, like more than 1 player come out and beg, and could confirm that the team was not interested? Nevermind, you're obviously correct.

Can you find any situation in the past 10 years where there is evidence that a player directly influenced a teams signing of a player?

If you're not joking...D-Jax said he was very influenced by RG3 calling him as soon as was released, and Deangelo Hall also a big influence, and how they made him feel at home. You think I make this up? He said so. What about Brett Favre? He had Jared Allen, Longwell (?), and argh, tip of my tongue, no longer there, o-line i think, send their team jet for him. It was E J Henderson, LB.
