I saw good things from Ryan and Rodgers, but the main thing I noticed was TJ Yates had no first downs his entire playing time and Sean Renfree when 5 of 7 passing in one drive. Next week's the game that will decide who gets the backup QB job, and at this point I am going with Renfree.

You know, today I felt ATL preformed at the best level they could in all of the preseason, and I think NO will be surprised when they come into Atlanta week 1. Cut day is looming, I am curious to see who makes the team and who doesn't.

Cut day is looming, I am curious to see who makes the team and who doesn't. To be honest, think that everyone will be shocked at the Falcons this coming Sunday. Seems like the entire media and fans around the NFL are sleeping on us again, which is fine by me. Even throughout the last 6 years we seemed to always be slept on. Being under the radar is good in a lot of cases because people won't take you as seriously as they should. Even other teams.

GG. You guys were the better team today. Defensive and offensive line play looked majorly improved.

It looks like we got the old Falcons back. Offensively we looked excellent. Especially, Matt Ryan. He played elite and it looks like he took another step forward as a player. The offensive line as a whole looked vastly improved. The D-line has made good strides, but we still need an edge rusher. Our defense as a whole looks a little bit better, but is still bad. Harry Douglas, Devin Hester, and Levine Toilolo all look like decent threats and that just opens a dynamic to our offense we haven't seen before. Overall, a fantastic performance.

The Falcons needed that. A divisional win vs a very good team is a good way to start...... Go Falcons.......

In one game we go from appearing like the 2007 Falcons to the 2008 Falcons. But I'd take an 11-5 season over a 4-12 anyday. Defense must improve in order for a winning season to occur, which isn't impossible but will take time. Big test next week on the road.
