Supposedly the girl tried to come out with this the night of the assault, but the cops told her she would have to really think about the repercussions of dealing with this accusation in a football town where Winston was loved..
This brings to mind another question, why did she keep soiled panties for an entire year?

All it means is that they had Sex....very hard to prove it wasn't consensual ... Edit...as Jin pointed out. Also...Winston was Famous in his own circles...full ride to FSU, etc....probably a girl who wanted for him to take her along after graduation ....they make movies and shit about it all the time. I just don't like "sexual assault" charges w/out evidence of assault, like bruises etc....and why is this just coming to fruition almost a year after the fact? Ex girl friend who's pissed that he's a star? I agree with several of your points. It is almost impossible to assume it is sexual assault at this point because how can we tell? It happened over a year ago. And the "over a year ago" thing is the big thing for me as well. As you have stated, this is all coming to fruition now? And coincidentally, FSU is a hopeful for the BCS; and Winston for the Heisman. Quick question - and maybe I am completely missing something - it is possible to find DNA of semen on clothing that was probably washed several times (seeing as how it was her underwear and washed quite frequently)? My opinion? I think they simply had something going on and that she is bringing this up now for two reasons - she is jealous of his success, and that she is upset regarding the fallout of their relationship. No doubt this is an interesting topic - and hopefully everything will settle itself out. Well, I'm Sure or I'd hope for the rep of the Tallahassee police, that they've had these underwear since the indecent occurred and its not 'new' evidence that she just brought in.

Anytime I see a case where the evidence comes from "unknown sources" I have to question it. The thing that makes me question it the most is why is it coming out right now, when FSU is ranked #2 in the nation and Winston has a great chance at the Heismen.

My statement has nothing to do with anyone being guilty or not guilty. I just want to comment on something I read here. Something about why would Winston or Big Ben have to rape someone? There are plenty of ladies who would do them. (something like that). Rape is not about sex, it is about power. Rapists rape even if they have a beautiful, sexy wife at home. It is the feeling of power that drives them. Just saying.

Pretty much, it does seem unlikely for a football town to throw their QB in jail deserving or not with so much at stake with the team and so much in question about the case.

Wait...a few things aren't adding up here. Let me get this straight. The victim is claiming that Winston raped her over a year ago...then when she tried to report it the night of the assault, the cops told her she would have to think about the repercussions of what would happen because Winston was "loved" in a football city like Tallahassee. Isn't there something people are forgetting?
Winston is a redshirt freshman. This is his first year as a starting QB for the Seminoles. E.J. Manuel was the starting QB when this happened. Jameis Winston wasn't a heisman candidate and Florida State wasn't in contention for a National Championship berth, therefore, Winston wasn't the star he is now. That fact alone makes me believe this girl is lying and trying to slander Winston out of spite. Anything else is completely bull crap to me.
