1. HOU - Jadeveon Clowney - This pick is self-explanatory. Clowney is, bar none, the most talented player in the draft and is a one in a decade type DE. You don't pass that up.
2. STL - Taylor Lewan - A bit of a surprise here, but it makes sense. Matthews has seen his stock slip here recently, and even though Greg Robinson may have higher upside than Lewan, he is raw and not nearly as NFL ready as Lewan is. I feel like Lewan is the OT that has the best combination of NFL readiness/upside in the draft, and that's what STL needs.
3. JAX - Johnny Manziel - Reasoning here is kind of the same as Lewan's. Bortles has good upside but is raw. Jacksonville needs somebody that can start now, but also somebody that can still improve his game a ton. Manziel is that guy.
4. CLE - Sammy Watkins - Right now the Browns are pissed at the Jaguars for taking Manziel. I don't think they'd pull the trigger on Bortles/Teddy/Carr here, so instead they take the best playmaker in the draft. Watkins will help whatever QB they eventually draft a ton, and will serve as an amazing compliment to Josh Gordon.
5. OAK - Khalil Mack - Pairing Mack with the likes of Lamarr Woodley, Justin Tuck, Nick Roach, Sio Moore, and Kevin Burnett makes Oakland's front 7 a potentially dominant one. Mack is also BPA at this point.
6. ATL - Greg Robinson - Ryan got hit a ton last year, and the Falcons should really look to protect him better. Robinson is the best run blocker in the draft, but he also has the tools to become a good pass blocker in the draft.
7. TB - Blake Bortles - Mike Glennon did not have a bad rookie season, it was actually pretty decent all things considered. Can the Buccaneers really compete at the highest level with Glennon though? That's a question that no is probably the answer to, so TB turns to the in-state kid that could potentially give their offense a new dynamic.
8. MIN - Teddy Bridgewater - I personally feel Teddy is the best QB in the draft, but it seems like I'm in the minority with that opinion. Anyways, the Vikings actually do not have a bad roster, but there is no way they can be competitive with the QBs they have at the moment. Teddy can come in and immediately take some of the load off of AD.
9. BUF - Jake Matthews - Whoever the Bills QB was last year, they were getting sacked a ton. BUF ended the year with the 3rd most allowed sacks, which has to change immediately if they want to see EJ Manuel progress as a QB. Matthews is a so called "safe pick" who can come in and help BUF's OL from the get-go.
10. DET - Justin Gilbert - Darius Slay had a good rookie season from what I've heard, but there isn't really anybody opposite of him unless you think Chris Houston is a good CB. Gilbert is raw and might be rough in the beginning, but his best football may be in front of him.
11. TEN - CJ Mosley - The Titans are furious at the Lions for taking Gilbert, but the idea of pairing Mosley with Wes Woodyard is a very good one. Mosley will only improve TEN's already good run D, and will also help cover the middle of the field.
12. NYG - Eric Ebron - For lack of a better term, the Giants have a bunch of no names at TE at the moment. They have a very good WR corps and a good OL which they upgraded through FA. Now it's time to add the best TE prospect since Vernon Davis to potentially put their O over the top.
13. STL - Mike Evans - The Rams are smiling from ear to ear right now, landing Mike Evans who is a top 10 (arguably top 5) talent at 13. This guy looks like a similar player to Vincent Jackson and Brandon Marshall, and him + Tavon Austin will make a scary combination.
14. CHI - Aaron Donald - The Bears were the worst team against the run last year, so they need any help they can get. Donald has an extremely high motor, he never gives up on a play. That type of energy is sometimes contagious, so this pick arguably helps the whole team.
15. PIT - Darqueze Dennard - Ike Taylor is getting up there in age, and isn't the CB he used to be. Luckily for the Steelers, the most NFL ready CB falls right into their lap, giving their secondary the boost they need.
16. DAL - Ha'sean Clinton-Dix - Honestly, you could pick any defensive player on the board here and it be a good pick. The Cowboys just need defense in the worst way possible.
17. BAL - Zack Martin - Some analysts think Zack Martin would make a much better guard than tackle, and the Ravens hope that statement is correct. Martin will take over the LG spot in steed of Kelechi Osemele, who isn't that great. This pick also helps Ray Rice get back into upper-echelon RB form.
18. NYJ - Kyle Fuller - The signing of Eric Decker and the loss of Antonio Cromartie changes NYJ's first round needs completely. Kyle Fuller is a very well rounded CB, and can instantly bolster NYJ's secondary.
19. MIA - Xavier Su'a-Filo - With the "big 3" OTs + Martin off the board, the Phins can't have their ideal pick of a tackle unless they want to reach on Morgan Moses or CyKo right here. However, XSF fills a need and is not a bad pick at all, as Miami lost both their starting guards (Incognito and Jerry) this offseason.
20. ARI - Anthony Barr - Once viewed as a top 3 pick, the draft process has not been friendly to Barr. Nevertheless, he is still a potentially dominant pass rusher who can also drop back in coverage. Arizona should be thrilled with this pick.
21. GB - Calvin Pryor - The Packers have a good looking front 7, but they need safety help. Sean Richardson is no answer, Calvin Pryor is. Simple as that.
22. PHI - Odell Beckham Jr - The departure of Jackson leaves a hole in Philly's WR corps. OBJ is a YAC machine who can make magic happen with the ball in his hands. That type of WR is deadly in an offense like Kelly's.
23. KC - Brandin Cooks - Dwayne Bowe is good, Donnie Avery is decent, but the Chiefs don't really have any players behind those two. I still don't think it's time to give up on AJ Jenkins, but he's unproven. Cooks is a dynamic slot guy who will instantly add a new dimension to KC's offense.
24. CIN - Stephon Tuitt - You can make a case here for Louis Nix, but the Bengals need help at DE as well as DT. Tuitt has the versatility to play both, that's why he's the pick here.
25. SD - Louis Nix III - Speaking of Louis Nix.. The Chargers have some legit DEs with Reyes and Liuget, but not a good nose tackle. That's Nix's natural position, and he solidifies SD's DLine.
26. CLE - Derek Carr - Brian Hoyer did not look bad when he was uninjured, but he's not a long term answer. Carr is a good looking prospect who has a cannon for an arm, and is pretty accurate as well. He will love throwing to Gordon and Watkins.
27. NO - Marqise Lee - Sean Payton, being the offensive mind he is, I don't see any way in hell he doesn't instantly recognize Lee's talent and pull the trigger. Plus, NO's WR depth is not what it used to be.
28. CAR - Donte Moncrief - A polished WR who can instantly come in and be a weapon for Cam Newton. The Panthers lost most (all?) of their WR's free agency, so this pick makes sense for a number of reasons.
29. NE - Jeremiah Attaochu - Looking at NE's current OLB depth, it's kind of dreadful. Attaochu can honestly play any linebacker position there is. Wherever Belichick decides to plug Attaochu, he can be successful.
30. SF - Jason Verrett - The Raiders pretty much stole Carlos Rogers and Tarell Brown from the 49ers, so SF needs to reload their secondary. Verrett is a little on the short side but he plays bigger than he is. Verrett is the aggressive type CB that Harbaugh loves.
31. DEN - Kyle Van Noy - One of my favorite players in the draft as many of you know. The departure of Wesley Woodyard leaves Denver's OLB depth lacking a bit. Van Noy can provide solid depth as well as be a quality situational player.
32. SEA - Joel Bitonio - OL is pretty much Seattle's only weak spot. Bitonio can play guard or tackle, he is very versatile.
2. STL - Taylor Lewan - A bit of a surprise here, but it makes sense. Matthews has seen his stock slip here recently, and even though Greg Robinson may have higher upside than Lewan, he is raw and not nearly as NFL ready as Lewan is.
