I bet this is the game plan. Convert third downs. Or better yet, get a first down or a TD on every play. Or we could just force a fumble/int and take it back for a TD on every play, the offense wouldnt even need to take the field. That sounds like an excellent game plan. I really am hoping it works out.

Weather conditions are now expected to be about 65 degrees at kickoff with 7 mph winds.
Somehow we set a record last week for warmest home playoff game in Patriots team history, and now this.
Probably will see 70 degree temperatures at the super bowl...

Inactives:
Chris Barker Steve Beauharnais Jake Bequette, Justin Green Isaac Sopoaga Kenbrell Thompkins DJ Williams
So Dobson returns, but Thompkins out. Opting for an extra LB today over an extra corner.

Not the finish we wanted, but still a very good season. Exactly the same results as last year, even though so many so called experts said we wouldnt fare well this year.

Edelman, Talib, and Blount are 3 key players set to be free agents. Should be interesting to see how these contracts are handled. I expect Talib will be the top priority out of all 3 of them. We have seen back to back AFC Championship games what happens when Talib goes down to the rest of the defense. Thomas destroyed the secondary this year, Boldin last year. Both guys did pretty much nothing until Talib went down. It seems like Talib wants to be here, so it wouldnt shock me to see him agree to a much smaller deal that expected. Slot receivers and running backs pretty much grow on trees in the NFL, so I think both guys will get a reasonable contract offer but I cant see the team matching a bigger offer.

Interior oline has to be the top priority in this draft. Wendell and Connolly are decent players, but probably there are go be struggles if you ask both of them to start every game. Wendell is also set to be a free agent.
Interior dline is also a need, although it isnt something that we have to address. Wilfork and Kelly will turn our defense from bottom 30 against the run to top 10. Armond Armstead is another guy who was expected to be a big part of this dline rotation, he practice all year though. Sealver Siliga came out of nowhere and played very well the past 7 games. I expect him to be a part of the rotation next year.

A think a bigger physical safety will also be a priority this offseason. Harmon and Gregory are rotational players and will have a future on this team, but it would be good to have a physical guy next to Mccourty. That could be Adrian Wilson, but it is unclear how effective he will be after his major knee surgery.

I want Nicks... but I doubt that happens It would depend on how the market looks for receivers. I am almost positive one veteran receiver will be brought in, but certainly not one at a high cost. Nicks, Sanders, and Britt all come to mind. Anquan Boldin could be a cap casualty once again, and he has been connected to the Pats since Arizona traded him. Either way this core should be a lot better next season even if it is the exact same guys. Dobson got off to a rough start, but came on strong mid season, only to break his foot. I see him as a 65-90 catch guy next season.

Gostkowski gets the pro bowl nod with Prater heading to the superbowl. Not sure how Prater ever got it over Gostkowski in the first place, but I guess we value long field goals over game winners and onside kicks..
