I can't help but figure that he went there because he's pissed that PSU didn't give him the HC job, but that's totally out of character for him.

However, OSU also hired Arkansas' DC Chris Ash as a secondary coach, and Jancey could probably tell you how much Ash sucks.

steelersfan4life56In all actuality, though. it probably won't even help OSU that much. They hired Larry Johnson to replace Mike Vrabel. So they aren't gaining much by hiring Johnson, since Vrabel was also a really good coach. (he left for the Texans) People often forget about the concept of marginal utility. Also - They still have Fickell as a DC. So they will likely not have a good defense as long as he's around.

I'm concerned more about his recruiting, he was PSU's top recruiter and no doubt his first target will be the PA, VA, MD, and DE area At lest they were able to pry Bob Shoop away from Vanderbilt, as well as other coaches and recruits.

Yeah.. I think Franklin will make the PA/MD area a priority though. Y'all will always recruit that area well.

I'm just a bit more concerned with the added competition from a team that is arguably in a better position for bowl games and national championship hoped compared to a team still under sanctions.
