steeldevil.. How good do you think Tommy Rees could be if he wasn't so inconsistent? I just rewatched the "Under the lights" (I know you don't want to remember that game, so sorry ) game from 2011 and I actually thought Rees played really well other than from a few plays. I think he has all the tools, he just needs to tighten up his game a bit anc clean up his act off the field.. I've always thought he was pretty good to be honest. He is alright. Good for a few head aches every year. I'm still thinking Andrew Hendrix will be getting plenty of time. Just hope Golson is back for next season.

Whether Golson is back or not, ND still has talent at the QB position. Rees and Hendrix aren't bad at all. Even if they were bad though, ND has good players at pretty much every other position to help mask the QB's problems. Especially talented on the DL.. Two potential first rounders with Nix and Tuitt.

end the SEC championship streak this season... That's what they say every year... and that is what I don't get about college ball. If your team doesn't win it all, why cheer for a rival team? No way in hell would I be cheering for the Jets, Dolphins or Bills

No way in hell would I be cheering for the Jets, Dolphins or Bills I don't cheer for the AFC South...it's different with college ball...most of our season is conference play. 8 of 12 games. And non-conference games are usually cheese games for us. If SEC wins, it makes us look better

or you know... you can schedule some non-conference games against actual good teams and beat them

Yeah I still expect 9+ win season. The defense should be pretty darn good again. As long as the qb doesn't turn the ball over we will still be hard to beat. Just wish we still had Golson. Crazy he got kicked out for cheating when UNC players don't even go to real classes. But at least I get to make fun of UNC fans everyday. I expect duke to go 7-5 or better. Anything less is a disappointment.

Cause Bama's the only team who's won a championship in the last 7 years. They're the only SEC team in the top 10 every year. And they're the only team who wins their bowl game every year. LSU, Florida, Auburn have all won. Last year, SEC had 6 teams in the top 10 by year's end. The year before, 4 teams in the top 10 and the SEC West was 1, 2, 3 heading into the final week of the season. blog.philsteele.com/2010/07/10/conference-bowl-rankings-past-decade/2009-2010 ~ 6-4 (10 teams) 2010-2011 ~ 5-4 (10 teams) 2011-2012 ~ 6-3 (9 teams) (1 was guaranteed loss - Bama/LSU) 2012-2013 ~ 6-3 (9 teams)

Without Bama the streak would have ended a while back.
