CBSSports gave him a 3rd Round Grade. That's why I missed him. I was only looking at their 1st Round Picks for a reference. Fair enough. But that site has Thomas as a second rounder. Admittedly, any Mock Draft isn't going to be as refined at this point in the season.

Being a hater of Thomas makes me side with Kid here, but Thomas is great in space. Just don't see him as a first rounder. Too much risk there because of his small stature. Also...where the hell is Scott Crichton? I still wish he wouldve signed with USC. He is great in space, but I dont see him lasting as much more than a dangerous return man.

He got paid....and I'm sure Phil hooked his mom up w/a job at Nike like he does for many players parents. Lamichael James' mom works at a Nike store in Texas...interesting. could be blowing smoke maybe but we know this shit happens.

Im usually not one for conspiracy theories, but if anyone was a sure thing for USC it was Thomas and last second he changed his mind. Oregon got off real easy if you ask me.

I doubt the Steelers will draft a CB in the first round. Every year they are predicted to and never do. They simply trust their developmental process in terms of DBs too much to pick one that high. They have a need for a CB, but my days of expecting a CB in the first round are over hahah.
Would like to see a TE or ILB taken. Unless of course Spence comes back and shows that he still has a future as a starter or one of the young back ups shows enough to be a long term starter.

It just seems like Verrett fits our Defense very well to me. He is a ballhawking CB who isn't afraid to throw his body into the Run Defense. He is a little small at 5'10" 178, but he could be a GREAT NB. Certainly he would be an upgrade over Gay.
