Is that suggestion box big enough to hide someone in to slap him upside the head and tell him to man up and grow up?

Cam Newton is in the 2nd year of a 5 year deal. That contract came after the new CBA and is considerably less expensive than previous rookie deals. A high proportion of the money and most of the guarantees are for the first few years - meaning that Newton is comparatively inexpensive for the next few years. I don't see him going anywhere else for quite a while.

Cam aint the problem in Carolina. He is actually the best player on the team righ now, at least IMO. Smith = getting older, fumbles and drops. CJ = nine hurries by the whole DL? Come on. OL has been awful, can't say any of them. Olsen is the only other player close to being the best.
The problem is the play calling and coaching. Rob Chudzkinski has been awful at calling plays; he's treating the Panthers offense as a High School offense with a guy who can throw the ball deep well. He is calling zone reads in shotgun and our backs are getting the ball when 5+ guys are already behind the LoS (doesn't help our OL has been terrible). He doesn't want Newton throwing it short, it's almost like he told Cam to not throw a short pass unless told so. So Cam is dropping back waiting for the WRs to get separation, and the OL can't block for long enough for Cam to pass a good deep ball. Although Cam holds the ball longer than he needs to, he HAS to on deep passss. Chud also doesn't know how to call plays inside the five. vs SEA, two tries, he gave the ball to DWILL and told Cam to pass on a bootleg (Cam messed that one up) and vs DAL he didn't give Cam one carry inside the five I believe. Heck, he only gave it to Tolbert ONCE inside the five, and Tolbet SHOULD'VE been signed to be a goal like back, but he's mainly been poorly (blocking for runs, Tolbet has been bad. And doesn't get used as a rusher).
I'll look it up later, but I'd be shocked if one of Cam's runs over 15 yards was not a trick play, same for all of our runs (a few not trick plays).
Cam IS annoyed with the team and is speaking it publicly, he hasn't looked good in interviews, and Rivera is doing nothing about it but giving his blank stare. The defense has been TERRIBLE, Rivera is a defensive minded HC, and the DEF has been bad. The offensive play calling has been EVEN WORSE, and Rivera doesn't fix it.
Now... Cam hasn't been as good as last season, IMO, but he hasn't been that much worse and I find it insane for people to be calling him Vince Young 2.0.... And yes, THERE ARE THOSE COMPARSIONS, even after TWO poor games.
He's made mistakes, the SEA loss you could blame on him; the Tampa game he wasn't very good (the play calling was AWFUL); but the rest of the games, Cam isn't the reason we last.
I expec Chudzkinski to be gone before week 10. Ron Rivera said clearly all the Assnt. Coaches jobs are not safe. And Chud needs to be gone. I will say he imrpoved in play calling for passing plays, but runnin games haven't changed.

Maybe Carolina should trade Cam Newton for 2 1st round picks or something. He's worth it, plus you can tell he hates Carolina.. I also agree with Kjcrowe; there's no way he will be in CAR after his rookie contract.
What's the point in training up your rookie QB you hope is your franchise QB and you know he's planning on walking away when his contract is done?
Trade his ass and get something for him, for someone who will WANT to play for your team. I think Carolina can get 2 1st's for him.
Here's what CAR should do:
1) Trade Newton for 2 1st's. 2) CAR is already 1-5, tank the season and draft Matt Barkley. 3) With the other 1st round pick, grab a 1st round receiver.

Ok guys, Barkley will be another Mark Sanchez. USC QBs are proven to suck.
