The NFL League Office(A.K.A. Roger Goodell) has voided Sean Payton's contract with the New Orleans Saints and he will be a Free Agent in 2013. Rumors have already speculated around the league that he could wind up returning to Dallas(where he was Assistant Head Coach from '03-'05) as their Head Coach.

He says he'll be back. But, we all know money talks. There has also been talk that since this is his last year undercontract, but is under suspension, the last year would play out next season in stead. That decision is up to God-dell. And I won't even comment and start that debate.

F**K Goodell trying to separate Payton from us. I think he will sign a new contract with us though.

Jerry Jones will no doubt open the bank for Payton and make him the highest paid coach in the league, but I don't see Payton accepting the job if JJ doesn't bury his ego and relinquish most of the control to him.

Goodell has let the saints have contact with Peyton regarding his contract situation. Meaning that before any other team have a chance to get to him, and I mean months in advance, the Saints have their shot. This alone should prove that Goodell isn't out just to get the Saints, if he was he would have kept his no contact order in place regardless.
I can't blame the fans for the animosity, but in the end he's not trying to sink the franchise.
