Being a NY Mets fan and an Eagles fan is quite ironical, I know. My Dad fell in love with the 'Amazins' back in 1969 when he came home from Vietnam and his staff sergeant(who was from Queens, NY) took his men(including my pops) to game 3 of the World Series at Shea stadium. So I was born an Eagle and a Metropolitan with no choice in the matter. So needless to say I've been through some rough times;)
Anyways, my Mega Mets sure haven't looked good after the All-star break by dropping their first 5 of 6 games. Finally today R.A. Dickey was able to hold the East leading Nats down and Dave Wright hit two bombs with 5 rbi. We are still 3 games over .500, but the Dodgers are coming up.

the mets are one of the biggest surprises this year. alot of people though they were gonna finish last in that division for sure because of some big offseason losses
however phillies are in the injury bug and getting ready to sell some players, and all the marlin players that miami spent so much money on now isnt working out
shocked that the nats are in 1st, but they are for real and i think they win the division this year. and of course the braves are doing well too, but thats not a surprise
anyway, i would like to see the mets make it since nobody though they would, but i think they need to make a trade if they want to get in the playoffs
they could use more firepower on offense, mostly someone in the IF. but the bullpen needs the most help right now too
they need to make a trade if they want to stay in this thing, because i dont think the division is gonna happen right now

Santana is 3-4 since his No hitter....and tonite hes showing once again that he is gettin old.
And yes Mania, I do not think the Braves or the Mets are going to be able to unseat the Nats for the eastern crown.
I'm hoping the Mets can put a trade together to bring a good Rt handed bat, but I really doubt its going to happen.

the mets should consider trading for chase headley from the padres would could be a switch hitter, and hes not old either
problem is, he plays 3B, so i dont know if he can be moved to a different position in the IF

I gotta tell you everyone I had talked to during spring training said the Mets were going to be terrible this year. Definitely one of the nice surprises.

the mets are starting to fall apart as of late. there best chance now is get above the braves and dodgers for that final wildcard spot
they really need to make a trade if they want to stay in this thing

Season is in the books. Good young talent....but besides an old R.A. dickey, the pitching has fallen apart. Should have traded johan while the gettin was good. Go Mets.
