We are half way thru the FF season and well into those brutal bye week blues. A catalog of past stats and all those preseason “expert predictions” may have swayed many an owner's draft strategy. But the real game is played out on the field each week—for 16 weeks—and ANYTHING can happen. (Playing the blues on my tiny violin.) Fortunately, in the fantasy game of football we have a lot more avenues to improve our team than they do in the real NFL. I see big trades happening in MLB and NBA, but not too many of that caliber in the NFL. (IDK, less teams? More arrogant owners? I guess that’s a topic for another thread. ) Anyway--- if a real NFL team doesn’t happen to have anybody on their roster (practice squad) to fill that needed-position, they do what most FF owners do—run to the waiver wire for free agents. Just one example this year—WAS cut Hightower and Cooley, but then signed Ryan Grant –although then just as quickly cut him—to open a roster spot for Chris Cooley, again. Soooo--- as FF gurus (ace ), what WW Wonderboys did you pickup earlier this season, who have now earned a starting spot in your lineup every week? For me, it has been— WR: Randall Cobb (GB) – in a combo with Aaron Rodgers ;D K: Legatron Zuerlein (STL)—he has earned his megastar status

Morris wasn't on the WW in most leagues, nor Cobb.
Really hasn't been one, I guess some could say Morris, but the answer is, right now, Brian Hartline or Josh Gordon.

Not Hartline. He only had 2 good weeks. Well, Morris was released in the GY league, and was on the waiver wire at a point

Definitely Hawkins for me...it's a dynasty league..and we all have 35 players..so the WW is VERY thin. But Hawkins was one guy on there and from a dynasty perspective, he's the best WW pick up this year in that league

ALFRED MORRIS! LOVE THIS GUY! was a non believer and didn't bother to pick him up in any of my leagues... I gotta say Darryl Richardson, until I cut him days b4 the regular season for McNutt, Russell Wilson by far my best Waiver Wire Wonderboy. A UDFA that impressed the GM and survived the cutdown from 40 players to 32 players. Dynasty- Wilson... Jean failed to impress and Pitta wellll meh. Benson probably doesn't count, right? NFL-managed league- Julio Jones, some idiot was stupid enough to drop him Normal keeper/redraft- Cobb, although not in many leagues IDP League- I didn't get this year's version of Webb or Cullen Jenkins... Right now, it's probably Babineaux or Malcolm Jenkins.

ALFRED MORRIS! LOVE THIS GUY! Like many FF owners, *I* laughed my ass off at anyone who wasted a draft pick on a WAS RB--even if it was in the late rounds. Hello?? Shanahanigans. But, I guess, if you are in a 8-10 team league, and you had your pick of RBs off the WW in week 2? Morris could be classified as your team's WW Wonderboy. As an FF owner, who drafted a slew of RB talent this year--but who nabbed Run DMC, F-Jax, and Hillis off the WW in past years (long before they became "famous")--I appreciate the WW value of new (relocated) talent in the ever-shifting dynamics of any NFL team's scoring potential. (Hello? I'm crying a river of tears that my "cheap" #1RBs--MJD and Mendy-- are ONCE AGAIN taking up space on my bench. ) Ironically--I think that many teams are "guilty" of sporting a WAS player. RG3 is a top QB. Garcon and Davis were viable plays (until they got hurt) and the old man, Santana Moss, is suddenly relevant again.

...the answer is, right now, Brian Hartline or Josh Gordon. I think Hartline is just a one-hit wonder. But the two CLE rookies (Weeden/Gordon) have a lot of potential. I could see Gordon cementing his WW Wonderboy status very soon.
