I know that this is not a new issue in the league, but seriously the discipline issues in the league are getting ridiculous at this point. In the past week we've had abuse on a family member, we've had a player pull out a gun in a threatening manner, and we've had another reported DWI. At what point is enough going to be enough? Goodell has made his name on the saints issue, but when is he going to step it up and tighten up the discipline league wide? Hell if i got a DWI at my job (when i go back) i'd be fired on the spot. These guys are getting paid to do a job and the be in the public spotlight and should act accordingly. Now i'm not asking them to not have personal lives, but at some point common sense has to kick in here. DWI with millions of dollars? You could pay some one to cheaufer you around. No, you know what? You guys are famous, there are people that would do it for free just to say the hung out with you. As for Bryant.... If what they are reporting is true, then he should have a one way ticket out of the league. www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82a9c736/article/dez-bryant-cowboys-wr-allegedly-assaulted-mother?module=HP11_headline_stack

Dez is an idiot.
I think Goodell will punish all four of them, deservedly so.

I hope so, this is getting out of hand this year. I know every year there are a few bad eggs, but i dont ever remember it being this many. At this point i agree, they all need to be punished, including the ones from earlier in the offseason like DHB and McClain, even though it will hurt my raiders, cause the players need to learn, bottomline. The NFL is a brand, and once you are a player representing the brand, you need to uphold all of its ideals and portray your self as the brand would have you do.
I know a few of you are my age and older, so you'll remember this. But we are the Wheaties Generation. Our sports heroes were glorified for being on the right side of the law, for living their life in a positive manner, and they accepted their part as public heroes. This generation needs its version of Wheaties again. We need to have some sort of recognition for player being the role models they should be, vs glorifying their bad decisions.

Nope, obviously these players have to threaten to not piss on him if he were on fire to get any form of punishment.

I think the punishments are only going to escalate as time goes on. That's part of why Goodell is harsh on repeat offenders and why I hope Lynch gets more than a slap on the wrist for his DUI.

Its the whole mentality. I have one of the Raiders rookie WR's on my twitter, and all night all he could do was talk about clubbing, trying to hook up with girls and going off saying that the bay area had crappy clubs cause the made him pay. I cant say i'm not upset that he will for sure be one of the rookies that wont make the team.

Its so bad and crazy that players who don't even get arrested or even charged with anything can get harsher punishment than guys who commit crimes ON CAMERA.
Cant make this shit up....

I know this is getting out of hand.
On a side note sucks for FF players who already have Lynch. Looks like he is headed for suspension.
