its good to get that first win of the season, but at the same time i feel more upset about the game than happy. offense stepped it up but what has happened to this defense?
5 PLAYERS THAT GET MY GAMEBALL
5.WR A.J Green. 7 catches for 58 yards and a TD. i would of liked to see alot more out of him though. he could of had 10 catches instead and be over 100 yards. some of it was green's fault, but also daltons fault for not getting those extra catches. still he played good enough
4.OLB Vincent Rey. 6 tackles and a sack. he didnt start this game but i think he needs to be considered as a starter soon. without thomas howard for the rest of the season, rey stepped it up this game despite never starting a game ever. the former undrafted rookie from duke continues to look promising
3.WR Brandon Tate. 3 catches for 71 yards and a TD. after a terrible game last week, tate stepped it up after losing his starting job. the weapons besides a.j green are starting to step it up on this team now. tate, hawkins, and binns all are getting lots of catches so far
2.WR Andrew Hawkins. 2 catches for 56 yards and a TD. hes a rising star on this team. the 50 yard TD catch was the big game changer this game. and he doesnt even get deep catches. he gets alot more yards after the catch which is what you want. hes the perfect slot reciever for this team
1.QB Andy Dalton. 24-31 for 318 yards 3 TD's and an INT. im still not completely convinced simply because its the browns, but its a great game when its all said and done. he had a couple of bad throws but other than that, he got the job for this team today when the defense couldnt hold it together. if this team wants to take the next step, they need dalton to continue playing good. well done dalton
5 PLAYERS THAT WERE TERRIBLE
5.S Jeromy Miles. shocking enough, he started in taylor mays place after mays was terrible in week 1. miles showed that hes only a special teams player once again. he struggled against the run greatly as he was a last line of defense most of the time. someone most step it up in the secondary soon, especially at S
4.DE Robert Geathers. i wish he would step it up right now. hes had to start in carlos dunlaps place because of injury and he hasnt done well. and now with backup DE jamaal anderson out for the season, the team currently only has 2 healthy DE's now. geathers could end up starting next week as well. must see him play better
3.C Jeff Faine. OL played better after a rough start this game, but i wasnt impressed with faine. he was matched up against dqwell jackson alot and couldnt stop him, and he had 3 sacks. the loss of kyle cook hurts more than expected
2.TE Jermaine Gresham. once again gresham was nowhere once again this game. sure he had more yards and catches, but this guys needs alot more catches, because hes a good matchup weapon against teams. i though he would be a great player for team, but he seems just average at best
1.MLB Rey Maualuga. oh rey rey rey rey, damn do you suck. once again he proves to me that he cant do jack for this team and that he might be the most overated player on the team. for those that dont know, he ran his mouth at trent richardson before the game saying "hes not that good". what happens? richardson runs for over 100 yards. maualuga missed so many tackles it was ridicious. he gets too much love from nfl fans and hes the most useless player on the team. he better not be back next year
FINAL GRADES
Offense: B. dalton played very good all game but missed a few passes. the WRs were good and most of the OL for the exception for the C was good. TE's needs work, and running game was very solid. great improvement this week
Defense: D. i cant give them an F again simply because they played better than the score says it. but making brandon weeden look like aaron rodgers is not a good sign. im very worried about this defense. and now with RG3 next week who looked good in both of his games, i would be worried
Special Teams: A. adam jones got a TD on his 1st PR of the year which was great. brandon tate played better, punting was better, and mike nugent was solid as usually
Coaching: B. marvin lewis is starting to prove me wrong right now which surprises me. jay gruden had a great gameplan for the exception of less gresham. mike zimmer had a good gameplan but it wasnt played well enough
FINAL GRADE OVERALL: B
a much much better game this week. when the defense didnt step it up the offense did. all of the new weapons like tate, hawkins, and binns are starting to step it up nicely. defense is a big concern right now IMO. i really dont understand why they are doing so terrible there

win or not, im still not happy right now. i still think 6-10 right now because of a bad defense. offense is playing good against the bad teams but not the good teams.
the redskins are up next and they scored 68 points the last 2 games now. RG3 is hot right now and must stop him. if they cant theres no chance they will win against them. if they can somehow beat the redskins, things might look up
