Why we won the game:
Brusing Brees - Constent pressure on Brees, resulting in a rough day for him. He may not have been sacked much, but he was hit a LOT. Brees is not a happy person right now because his OL was man handled.
Keep Pounding - We ran the ball a lot, and ran it really well. Totaling over 200 rushing yards, moving us from second-to-last in rushing yards to Eleventh in the league. Very happy with our rushing attack now.
Players who played well: (bold OFF/DEF MVP)
Panthers:
Cam Newton - 71 yards on the ground, one turnover (dumb fumble on 4th down, not much to blame him for). Did really well in the air too
Jonathan Stewart - you could tell he wasn't 100% this game, but still found the end-zone
DeAngelo Williams
Mike Tolbert
Steve Smith - Would've had six if he was 100%, on this play.
Brandon LaFell - What a game
Jordan Gross
Amini Silatolu
Ryan Kalil:
Byron Bell - Gave up no sacks, hits, or hurries while playing 59 snaps. Wow.
Charles Johnson - DEF MVP, really good. Zach Streif was destroyed.
Greg Hardy
Frank Alexander
Thomas Keiser
Dwan Edwards
Jon Beason - CLUTCH. The Beast is back!
Thomas Davis - Very well in STs and when in the game.
Chris Gamble - Wish I had a GIF of his tip. Would have been six for Graham, but at the last second Gamble tipped it away.
Charles Godfrey
Colin Jones - Definetly a ST ace. Made tackles left and right.
Saints:
Darren Sproles - Damn, couldn't cover him. He caught, what, 13 passes? Not even going to look up his stats.
No one else worth mentioning.
