if they can beat the giants as well, the season for the panthers is gonna be really good and newton showed that the week 1 slump was a fluke To be as humble as I can as a Panthers fan, I still feel as if I have to see more from Newton and our running game. By that, I mean more against teams that actually have a somewhat good defense. Fact is, the Saints D is horrible right now, so grinding out over 200 yards rushing against them isn't saying all that much. I definitely have to see more from our D as well. As good as they did putting pressure on Brees (and as much as I hate to admit it), there were a bunch of dropped passes by the Saints receivers... two of which that could have easily been TD's (one by Graham and one by Lance Moore, both at the goal line). Regardless though, I'm still very impressed that we were able to play a full game and not completely flop in the second half... something we did all too often last season. I'm sure everyone will have a better understanding where exactly it is we stand as a team after we face the Giants Thursday night. I just hope we can continue doing what we did Sunday. Keep Pounding!
