O.K. as a black man I appreciate the stance that Colin Kaepernick is taking. However this country, which I love, must be respected! The men and women who have given their lives for our freedoms, whether it is the military and/or the police deserve our respect and thanks.
Now this does not mean that bad and crazy cops or law enforcement should be able to go rouge and do what they want. Clearly Freddie Gray,Eric Garner and the man selling DVD's in Louisiana were all victims of the police going too far. The man shot in his car, in Minnesota, in front of his family was a victim! Nobody with simple compassion and sense could condone what happened in those tragic events.
Yet as far as this country is concerned, the flag and the fact that a lot of black men and women fought for this country and its ideals must be honored and held in reverence. Colin should stand and salute those people who gave their lives and hearts for what America should stand for. He can protest! He can support causes such as black lives matter! However respect the country as well!
The Dallas Cowboys are in big trouble. Unless Dat Prescott is the second coming of Roger Staubach, Dallas does not have a chance with no pass rush on a suspect defense. The Giants needed to address their offensive line woes. This is going to put Eli at great risk and limit the Giant offense. As far as the AFC;New England and Pittsburgh barring injuries or anything unforeseen are on a collision course for the AFC title game in Jan of 2017. As far as the NFC it is between Green Bay,Seattle and Carolina. I think Superbowl 51 will be between Seattle and Pittsburgh in Feb of 2017 as all roads lead to Houston.
If Colin Kaepernick is released by the Niners for his stance of not standing for the National Anthem, don't be surprised to see him in Denver. John Elway made a huge mistake in not signing Brock Oswiller. While the Broncos are given a free year after winning the Superbowl this past February, don't think that the Bronco fans will put up with a subpar season of not being in playoff contention. Kaepernick has talent and if healthy and in the right system he can be more than productive.
Looking forward to a great season! Take care and please be well!
