Ok try not to judge me for making this thread, but i do need some help and im not sure where to look to and start at. So please try to help me at the best of your knowledge. please dont leave me hanging
Ok recently i have been going through some jaw pain for no apparent reason. its been happening the last 5 days now and im getting a little worried so thats why im not on here as much at the moment. it feels like on the left side of my face that everytime i try to flex my jaws, i hear a "pop" or a "click". sometimes i have had this problem when i yawn but it wasnt a big deal. but everytime i try to mess with it, it keeps clicking or popping like it cant get it to go back in place or something. and my left side of the face is completely sore because of it and its starting to get on my nerves. i figure you should just leave it alone, but i dont know if that will fix the problem
i researched some stuff on jaw pain and the only thing i could find related to that was something called "Temporomandibular Joint Disorder" or TMJ to make it short. i had no clue what that was but i looked up some videos on youtube about it. it says it starts if you had your mouth open for a really really long time for whatever reason, some examples are the dentist or while your sleeping. i think it had something to do with me sleeping one night. when it does that, apparently it moves part of your jaw out of place and it doesnt look completely straight. and that the disc that cushions the jaw while you move it could of possibly went out of position. also my teeth dont feel completely lined up either for some odd reason
im starting to get very worried here and i dont know what to do. some suggestions where go to your doctor, but they often give you a retainer to help put it back in positions which could take SEVERAL months to do, and it could cost me too much money. other suggestions where just to massage it and it eases up the pain somewhat, but not enough
i need alot of help right now. my family doesnt know about it yet, but if theres some way i can fix this problem without having to do alot of stuff i would appreciate it. if someone had this problem before, i could use your suggestions
im at the mercy of you guys now. please help me. thanks
